BTW, IMO, Vineyard Caterers is great for out of towners also. There is SO much to do. I'm setting up wine tours, there's great outlet shopping at Tangers which includes great stores like Barney's Outlet,Pottery Barn outlet. You can even do a dinner one night in Greenport. I have lots of out of towners and they are so excited to do the tours, play golf etc.!

The view is really what sold me too! It is gorgeous! I just wish their was a view of the outside but I guess their is from the cocktail room too. The vineyard I like though also because my FH and I are into wine and have attended several wine tasting events so I thought that would be a cool idea. We already have the contract though for LOTS and I'm driving him crazy with my indecisiveness so we will prob just stay with that one. I just wanted to hear opinions about both. They are really both so nice.

One cool thing that I'm doing at Vineyard caterers is that they are setting up a wine tasting during the cocktail hour. I get to choose whatever local long island wines I would like for the tasting. I thought it was cool. I'm also doing a 'long island theme' by having local brewed beers. Blue Point Beer that is from the Hamptons. In the OOT bags, I'm having Northfork chips etc.
FH and I were engaged in Napa (hence the name) and we just loved the idea of doing something that incorporated that!!

I have never been to lombardis but my friends got married at vineyard caterers last year and it was absolutley beautiful!!! the ceremony was outside in the vineyards, and the food was amazing. and I have been to an abserd amount of weddings, this was one of the better ones that I went to. the staff was very pleasant, and bartenders where great!!! and the food was overflowing the tables.. plus for your OOT guests there is sooo much to do out there.

hello! I am a vineyard bridae and I HIGHLY recommend it!!! I am still hearing great things about it!!! one of my guests went to a wedding at the PLAZA and said the vineyards was sooo much better! some people are concerned with the capacity...well I had 180 and it was perfect...I would have actually wanted another table or 2! please let me know if you have more questions!!! I still have to write me review... ....hopefully soon!

I have never been to a VC for anything. I did however go to a wedding at LOTS and the view is gorgeous. However, CH barely fit all the people that were invited, otherwise CH food was insane. The Reception was gorgeous food was good. The only thing I would make sure of-and this is for ALL LOTS brides-DH ordered the NY Strip and they brought him chicken, no problem he told them and they took the chicken away-then came back with the chicken saying that there was no more new york strip available. The B&G used LOTS printed menus and it had Filet mignon listed on it, which as most know that is the most popular things for guests to order-when we went to order they said they didnt have it to ignore it on the menu I dont know why but thats what happened when we went there for a wedding in July. Otherwise, the service was very good and really nothing signicantly bad

I went to a June wedding at Lombardi's. It was very nice there. I havent been to Vineyard caterers but my moms boss had her step daughters wedding there and she said it was beautiful and the food was great. I think the ballroom there is downstairs though. That may or may not be a problem for you. When I thought about it for my wedding I was a bit weary about people going up and down all night (I have over 300 guests). But this is just a personal preference of my own. Otherwise, I heard its great there.
The ballroom is ground level. Guests don't have to do stairs. I think the confusion is that there are stairs in the ballroom. These lead up to the bridal suites though. It's actually very pretty.
I'm getting married at Vineyard, so I'm partial to it. My FH and his entire family is from the North Fork. I've just fallen in love with everything out there, and really wanted my wedding to have that North Fork feel. I love it so much, it will soon be my home too!

I am a LOTS Bride. I love it. I think their dance floor is smaller than most, but the ceiling makes the ballroom seem larger. We wanted a beach wedding and for us, we felt that the inside, outside and price matched our needs best.
One of my closest friends got married at the Vineyard and I compare every wedding to hers. It was amazing--the steak was one of the best steaks I have ever had....
