Hello Everyone! I'm new to all of this so please bear with me.
I went to look at Lombardi's on the Sound recently. Loved it! They're giving me a price of $100 p/p which includes tax and gratuity. This is for a Sunday night in March. Do you think this is a good price? I would love to have the reception on a Saturday night but the price went up another $35 per person with a bigger guest guarantee. She said those prices were firm. IDK if I should push a littler harder for a better price or move on to looking at some other venues.
Also, my date is totally flexible. I would prefer to get married in May but I'm extremely budget conscious and understand that March would be a lot cheaper. Any suggestions of a venue in our price range?? March, April, or May? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance

Re: Lombardi's on the Sound--prices
there are plenty of choices in your price range for later months, a lot on Sunday and some on Saturday too. you can even get in the summer in a few places and def on a Sunday.
what is your criteria for a rh and then people can help to give you recs. i went to lombardis, the food was excellent, my husband still talks about the steak but i personally have been to weddings that i liked better overall. nothing at all wrong, just little things that were my personal pref.
oh in regard to that quote for lombardis sunday in march, i would try to negotiate that a bit if you have your heart set on it or try to get a later month for the same price . lombardis, from what i know is on the higher end so i dont think the quote is crazy but i am pretty sure my friend paid not that much more for a warmer month on a saturday

I don't know if your flexible on your venue but I went to Mill Pond golf course today in Yaphank and i got a quote of $75 per guest tax & gratuity included for a Saturday night in March that was for their top package..so if you go with a lesser package it will be even cheaper, the difference between march and june was $5 per person! Not $35! it has a pretty ballroom and outside cocktail hour! good Luck!

That seems high for a Sunday March wedding. I was hearing prices of closer to $70-85 for a similar time. I was getting prices of under $100pp for a Saturday night wedding in October/June at several places. I would def negotiate more if you can.

Keep in mind that it still snows in March. If you like LOTS for the view and the outdoors, remember in March you won't be enjoying any of that.
I strongly considered LOTS but it's just way too small especially for a colder month when the guests won't be going out on the deck. These are the things that made me chose my RH rather than LOTS.
