Long distance planning-eek!!

Agh!! I hate not living on Long Island anymore. It makes planning a wedding so much harder. I can't wait for all my appointments in 11 days!!

I'm an OOT bride too! Live in Maryland, which means everything is at least 5 hours away!

Portsmouth, NH.. Its about 4 and a half. Have you booked any vendors yet? The ones I have dealt with have been really understanding with the distance situation.

I've only booked my RH and church...I've been slacking Hope to make some appointments for the next 2 weekends.

Funny! I'm coming down to LI in 2 weekends. So far I just have the RH and officiant booked. I have a bunch of appointments with DJs and Photographers when I'm down there again, and I can't wait!!!

I feel like I have no choice but to procrastinate because it's really hard to get stuff done at such a distance!

I mean I like to think that we are on the right track. We have our RH, Church, Florist and Photo/Video. Next trip I'm hoping we can at least get a DJ and maybe if we're lucky limos!

I get all freaked out because their are some 2013 girls that already have EVERYTHING!...

Okay, you have 2 more vendors booked than me, so I think you are doing great and your wedding is after me! I wouldn't pay attention to the 2013 girls, you can't compare, you have to do what is best/right for you!

I'm planning from England! I've been doing this from afar for a year now.

Once you get the major vendors booked, it all seems much easier. We have PLENTY of time!

I know what you are going through. My sister got married in Italy last summer and she finally broke down and hired a wedding planner. It was much to difficult to try and do it on her own.
