Long Island Photography Locations

I found this list of Long Island wedding photograph places on a web site and thought it might be helpful for some: Manhasset Valley Park, Manhasset This small, picturesque park is a popular place to be photographed. Weeping willows and other large trees shade a duck pond. There is also a bridge over a stream leading to the pond. There’s no fee for wedding photos, but Nassau County residency is required. Call 516/572-0200. ·         Bailey Arboretum, Lattingtown   Pose among the beautiful perennial gardens and exotic and native trees, or perhaps by a gazebo. The arboretum’s natural peaks and valleys create a wonderful array of backdrop options. There is a $25 fee for group photos. Call in advance at 516/571-8020. ·         Old Westbury Gardens This 88-acre, spectacular property offers tulips, lilacs and irises in the spring; roses, geraniums, and lilies in the summer; and tea roses and chrysanthemums in the fall. Three allees of beech and linden trees assure that the fall foliage is gorgeous. You can choose to be photographed on the terrace of a 66-room Georgian style mansion. A permit is required, and costs $275 for photos completed by 4:30 (the fee rises to as high as $475 later). Call 516/333-0048 and ask for Jennifer Fugina. ·         Bayard Cutting Arboretum, Oakdale All year round, you can be photographed in front of massive oak trees, rolling lawns and the Connetquot River. Springtime is particularly lovely: The azaleas and rhododendrons are in bloom, and large weeping European beech trees are in full splendor around the 1886 English tudor-style mansion on the property. The fall foliage is also beautiful. No permit is required, but there is a $5 entry fee per limo in-season from 10 am till 5 pm. Call 516/581-1002.

Thanks for the Info. What was the site that you got these ideas from? I''m getting married in Levittown and having the reception in Seaford and would like to find someplace close to either of those places.

I believe it was from www.modernbride.com but unfortunately, that was everything they listed for LI. They had separate sections for the city and Westchester.
