Long Shot

Original post by Supermans

I tried on a dress that **might** be it, but i'm not sure... I want to look at it on other brides (online) so i can get a better idea of what it looks like in real life, but the salon wouldn't tell me who the designer was.

It was a lace trumpet cut dress, and the sample was a sort of grey color called Oyster.

Does anybody know what designers make 'oyster' colored dresses???

btw, i would order it in ivory, but i though maybe the fact that it comes in oyster might be helpful in identifying the designer.

i know chances are slim, but you girls have answered crazier questions!!

Allure! Great!

I swear I thought they didn't come in oyster....but I guess they do! Glad you found it

When you were describing it, I kept thinking Allure....was the saleslady throwing you off by calling it Oyster?

i think maybe... the picture on the website was a 'normal' ivory, but the sample was very very silver/grey. She called it 'oyster' in passing and i guess that stuck with me.

I had no idea so many designers did oyster dresses, i would have expected that to be far more unusual.

any way, i'm excited to have found it (you girls are wedding gown geniuses!) and now i've got some other real contenders as well!

You guys are dress hunters!! For what it's worth, I would NEVER buy from Paradise after reading horror story after horror story AND the fact that they wont tell you who makes the gown you like. ***?!
