Long shot - Need some help from other brides who live in the DC area

I know there are a bunch of us lurking out there!! Does anybody know of a good company/person that does calligraphy in the DC area? I want to do my invite addressing here so there's no chance of anything getting lost. Doesn't have to be by hand, computer would be fine. Any help would be appreciated!

TIA!!

P.S. It's true, the bagels and pizza s*ck around here!!!

Did you try the DC board on the knot? I did my envelopes on my computer so I'm no help. You may want to consider doing it yourself though. It's really easy and you can find plenty of free fonts that look just like caligraphy.

I think glinda_goodwitch (Beth) is in DC but she doesn't come on here much anymore. If you're on LIF send her an FM, I'm pretty sure she uses the same name over there.

You might try to get referrals from The Papery, a high-end paper store in Claredon (Arlington). I have to warn you, the referral was pretty expensive. I ended up mailing my invitations to Melanie at A Fine Letter, even though she's in IL.

Yes, check the local board on The Knot. The 'Washingtonian' magazine wedding guide will also have info.

ETA--Try the Washington Calligraphers Guild, which has a membership of freelancers.
