Long Stem Bouquets - Anyone ever hear of flowers running onto dress??

Hi Everyone - I was thinking of doing a bouquet with a little bit of a longer stem tied in the middle with a ribbon. I've seen a bunch of these in Martha Stewart weddings and they're really pretty. However, 1 florist I went to told me to be careful about my flowers running onto my dress. Another 2 florists told me not to worry about it, that it has never happened wih them. What do you think??? I really like the look of the longer bouquet, but I don't want a stain on my dress the whole night!! Thanks....Laura

I am having an arm bok of all large callas. I havent heard of the flower stems ruining your dress, but I think I will just get the satin to cover more of the stems.

i had asked my florist about staining, and he said it wont happen.
