Long wedding story that I keep thinking about at 3:30 in the morning
I cant sleep and for some reason I keep thinking about our wedding day. I just realized that the morning of our wedding, I had a guardian angel on my shoulder. Usually I hate to drive but I do it cause I have to. My mom had lost her license the day before my wedding and the morning of I had to drive to the hair salon because my mom didnt want to chance driving without her license. So I took my car and drove myself, my mom and my sister to the salon.
I was coming down a side street and I had full green...and as I was almost half way through..a cop car (now this is at 8 in the morning) comes speeding down the avenue at I would say at least 50 mph. I slammed on the brakes and stopped just in time. For some reason, they had no sirens or anything on at all. They missed us by so little it was unreal. We were all so stunned, we couldnt even talk. When we got to the salon my mom just said..I think someone up there made me lose my license. I would have never reacted that quickly. My mom when she gets nervous gets something called restless leg syndrome...and when her nerves are as bad as they were on my wedding day, her reaction time is effected. I am sure she would have driven anyway trying to accomodate me and my day.
Someone up there was watching us. I havent even really thought about this too much before now for some reason. We talk about it from time to time but tonight I kept thinking...how did she lose her license when she didnt even go out the day before my wedding and the little pouch that she carries her license in wasnt missing...only the license was..things that make you ever so grateful and make you realize that maybe do angels exist.
