We are trying to pic a dj by end of this week. Its b/w Long Island Sound and Spin Around. I know Spin Around has a lot of great feedback. But LIS is not on here. Anyone already seen them in action. I am afraid SAS will be too subdued. And LIS too stereotypical dj. Help!! I am taking opinions/poll.

I too, saw both of those vendors! I used the one my hall recommended, but I was very close to booking LI sound. Their prices were great, really down to earth and I knew they would do a good job. If I had an event again I would definitely use them. Spin around sound kind of turned me off. Not as flexible at all in price and the owner couldn't tell me who would be doing my wedding, but it was not going to be him (had another booking). In the end I used Krompier entertainment b/c Atlantica exclusively recommended him and he met LI sounds reasonable price. Good luck to you!

I haven't seen them in action but we are having LI Sound. I don't think they are stereotypical DJ at all. In fact we booked them because they aren't the typical DJs we saw. Chris listened to what we wanted and didn't try to push any corny stuff on us.
Chris has been really helpful and even remebered me when I called this week after having not spoken to him for months. And I found their prices to be much more reasonable than some.

I would recommend LI Sound as well. We have booked them for our wedding and my sister used them as well (her wedding was almost 8 years ago).
I never met with LI sound...so I cannot comment on them...but I had a really good experience with SAS...honestly I didn't want them to talk too much...but that doesn't mean that they are subdued!! they will be what ever you want them to be...
