My daughter's ceremony is a Saturday at 11:30 AM, followed by the wedding/reception at 12. My daughter said that it's up to me whether to wear a long or short dress. Any suggestions?

Hi!! I'm going for a long /gown. I don't know about you, but when I thought of the few times, actually zero, that I get to play dressup, I decided I'm wearing a gown!! Mary MOB

I believe that it is appropriate to wear a gown for a wedding whether it is at night or in the day. To me a wedding is a wedding and the time of day shouldn't make it less dressy....not that shorter dresses can't be just as elegant. Just that you have to find a dress that you are comfortable wearing and not worry so much about the length...just my opinion though

This is your daughter's wedding and you belong in a gown. Everyone else can make the decision of whether to go short or long, but not you. As the MOG I wouldn't have worn a short gown if their wedding was in t he afternoon...it would still have been long. Have fun shopping.
