My invites are finally done! I am just trying to figure out what to do with the ribbon, but the main parts are done! I really wanted pocketfolds, but just couldn't afford them.. but I am happy how they turned out! If anyone is doing them themselves and needs any help, fm me!

The invites I bought at JoAnns, they were just plain with a pearl boarder. At first I was thinking I got them for too good of a price and they would look cheap, so even after I bought them I still ordered samples and was looking around. What I found was the ones that were in our price range looked cheaper, IMO, and very plain, so I decided to just jazz up my own.
I bought the pearl vellum and that purple swirl vellum (which I LOVE) at this store called Sam Flax. I think there is one in NYC, but I bought mine in orlando. For a pack of 50 sheets they were I think $30 a pack? Then I bought purple pear cardstock to put the directions on and jazz it up a little more. I designed the monogram to put on the vellum overlay, and underneath is the invite. I used these small brad fasteners to put them to gether. I also used the extra purple vellum to line the outer envelopes when they are opened.
It took a lot of time, but I like that they look more 'custom' but without the custom price I would have paid.
I still don't know how to word my direction card though!
