The 06 board is going to be locked at the end of the year so they started a thread called 'I'm a 2006 bride'. I think it's a cute idea. They even give advice to the future brides. How sweet!
So senimental.... Do they close the boards after a full year after has gone by?

Yes....this is why: (Ron posted to the 04 board)
On December 31, 2005 we will be archiving the 04 board. What this means is the posts will still be here to view and search on but you will no longer be able to post on the 04 board. I know I know, some are not happy about this. But to keep the boards moving in a forward direction and to keep them running at optimum speed we made the decision last year to keep a board running for one year after the last day of the year for that board. Thus December 31, 2005 is one year after December 31, 2004. Most 04 brides are either posting on the Newlywed board or have moved over to LIFamilies.com. And no we are not looking for anyone to leave. We just need to keep everything running at it's optimum. Thank you for your understanding and support!

Its so sad how fast time flies by, I hope more of the 2006 post their legacys,
I also see that the 2007 board is almost as dead as the 2006 board and they still have a year til theirs closes.
I really hope our board wont be like that toward the end of 08

this post really made me sad. I got chills and tears reading it. as much as i want my time to be here, i really dont. i dont want my time on LIW to be over. I dont want my time with you girls to end. I love coming on everyday and seeing a new dress or flowers or 'i hate my FMIL' posts. i have made some really great friends on this site and i enjoy going to GTG's. everyone has been so helpful. even with the drama that has occured many times, its still a fun place to come to just to talk to people who are in the same boat as me. i feel like the wedding is all i talk about. I must have been a mute b4 i got engaged. i have no idea what we talked about then.
