Look what I made today... HELP

Ok so I walked into Joannes' fabics in search of the ever elusive Vogue flower girl pattern #V7819 in size 5-6x... whole other story... And I got inspired to make my own ring bearer pillow.. you know to save money...35$ dollars later I walk out of the store determined to make the best damn RB pillow EVER!!

UMM here is the prob... The lady in the store told me the pillow form was too big.. I am stubborn and say 'thanks But I think it is just fine' UH YEAH.. it's ****** HUGE!

Then my mom says you need to put ruffles on it or it will look silly.. She gives me some rambled instructions on how to make a ruffle and leaves for the night. Fast foward through hours of making f$%king ruffles and they look...well.. less than professional.

I need opinions.. Is the pillow too big?.. Do the ruffles look dumb? I am having two ringbearers so they could use a larger pillow so they can both hold a size.. But i think mine is riduclous. OH well Maybe I should just go buy one and stick this in the DIY pile of stuff that just didn't work!

ETA: the size is 14x14 plus ruffles.

That doesn't look too big-- how big is it? It's hard to tell cause the pics are small.

Looks good from here though!

It's 14 X14 with the ruffles...
I wish the pics were big. That's from the resizer.
It is an ivory satin with vines on it. There is a matching button in the middle.. with two ribbons and two other ribbons with flowers with rhinestones in the middle.

ETA: I made the button first.. at that point it was still fun.. At 3:30 Just finished now.

It looks okay actually....
Could you maybe put something next to it like a book for perspective of the size of it and then take a picture?? I can't tell really if it looks too big.
