For a few minutes stop thinking about how u are going to pay for things and start thinking about something u can just have - since ur office shower is on wednesday I only have a few days left to shop - like today - mon. i don't want to pick a random thing off some registry list so please tell me what you REALLY want i want it to be something you'll really like.....

Um HELLO!! At least you are GETTING an office shower!! I work with an a$$hole boss, who would never give a party never mind allow one. And my 2 co-workers are too dug to even think of it. Besides, what kind of shower would be 3 people? Poor me..... well at least you will dress nice for your shower!!
I won't have one either but its ok, I am shy about stuff like that anyway.

I HATE when people think they are being so great and what they are really doing is ruining stuff! Why couldn't your boss just have the shower instead of making htis big deal out of it for you? WHat an a$$.
I'm quoting myself I think I was harsh, it is the thought that counts. It just hit a nerve with me b/c my boss will do something nice for someone but turn it into such an ordeal for the person that it ruins it. We call her the 'boomerang giver' since it really is all about her.

My boss put it on her calendar - the one she told us all to check if we're looking for her and she's not in the office. It's this Thursday. Don't get me wrong - I'm happy she's throwing me a shower - but I guess she wasn't thinking when she listed it on her calendar.

Actually, my boss almost asked me what I wanted (ie money or gifts) and the coplanner (a woman) said 'Steve you ruined surprise, stick with the registry, it's what she wants'

But hey enjoy your shower, the idiots in my entire office are clueless, my FI is getting a shower!!!
Why because he works with a big bunch of women and they love to throw parties for just about anything and everything....me I only invited like 5 co-workers, the rest I don't socialize with so I know there will be no office shower but I have a boss who lets me do what I damn well please already anyway
