Looking at 4door cars...anyone have any recommendations?
Original post by Danielle&Scott
Right now I have a 2dorr honda civic. I love it, but want a four door. I started looking yesterday ( had a bad experience at a dealership and left). I am going to look at the Mazda3 today.
Anyone have any recommendations?

Hey Buddy I didn't say it was crack. AND P.S. Yes He owned ummmm 2 hondas. And I OWN A 1994 CIVC EX MYSELF.
I owned a 97 Civic EX and had it for four years.
And if you looked at the article I posted.. the reliability issues affect the NEW models. Not a 10 year old car.

And I skimmed those and it looks like the 'problems' where are recalls which means the company fixed them for free no? I also saw something there for you beloved Audi...

I have a 2001 VW Jetta and LOVE it. I heard the new Jettas are even safer, too.

Yeah but like I am saying... Honda never USED to have these problems they are having now.
Read the articles. Don't skim through them. There are plenty more I can post.
Yeah they fix them for free... but are you really going to choose a car for its 'reliability' if their top selling car (accord) is having Transmission issues right off the line?
Honda would make a great used car. But this new generation of models (04 and up I believe) are not all they are cracked up to be.

still a honda girl. vw's look great, but i know so many people who had electrical issues with them so that turned me off. everyone i know who owns a honda, old or new, is in love with the car. i think all cars have issues when they update models.

Here is from your first Link...
The company has found only one confirmed instance of a transmission failure related to this defect in its passenger cars, with no accidents or injuries
So they found ONE case. And decided to FIX everyones.

Do you REALLY think they would waste millions and millions of dollars if they thought it was an isolated case.
Come on... if you really believe that... I have a bridge to sell you.
Automakers fight tooth and nail to try to avoid having to do a recall. Its HORRIBLE PR for them.

Trust me when I say... you already proved my point.
I think it would help if Scott posted the price range he was looking to spend.
Recommendations for a 4-door car is too broad a range without knowing the price.

Sorry KrisIn
I think cars are really hard. People are really passionate about cars, and trust me EVERY car has a recall or something you can dig up on it, but there are people who love thier cars no matter what. Like me, I don't care how many times they recall my bug. I LOVE it. And it dones't bother me at all when i bring it in for factory service I just have them do everything right then and there.
