Looking at Reception Halls.

Original post by kimmar2010

I am new to the forum and I am starting to look into booking our reception hall for a 2010 wedding. I have a few places that I'm interested in and would love for some feedback on these places.

Fox Hollow, Coral House, Westbury Manor, Swan Club, Majestic Gardens, Venetian Yacht Club, Villa Lombardis. Thanks for the help in advance.

Majestic Gardens- The outside front, we didn't like. The Gardens are beautiful but if it rains there is no place to take pictures and it's really terrible to loose the Garden. You are the only wedding, thats a ++, the food was Good, not amazing, and there was a mural painted in the cocktail hour room that I didn't like ( I thought it was cheesy)

I agree. I hat Murals!!! i'd rather have a real view out of a real window!

our reception was at Larkfield Manor in E. Northport. You might want to check them. It was wonderful; the people are so easy to deal with and price is reasonable for what you get.
Look at my review, also vendor reviews and I have pics in album and slideshow in video lib.

You should really look into Westbury Manor. That is where most likely I am booking mine. I have been there before and the food is absolutely amazing!!! I know a lot of people who have been there and they love it and they are begging me to have my wedding there. Also they were the only vendor I contacted that contacted me back right away so that made me feel good about them.

Stay away from the Coral House. They are extremely cheap but I haven't really heard one good thing about there food!!!!!

Way to be covert about it.. all 4 of your posts are from your wedding that was in 08? and the same comment here is in your profile.. maybe you should just stop pretending to be a bride?

ETA: your profile says you were married in 07... and your just coming on the boards now?

took the words right out of my mouth.

Congrats! I am getting married at Fox Hollow and I can give you a full review after my wedding. I just felt so comfortable when I walked into the Fox Hollow. It feels so homey to me. Check out a bunch of places and see how they make you feel when you go there. There is a Fox Hollow thread on this board if you want to check it out to find out more info on it! Good luck!
