Im looking to transfer my balances from my credit card to another credit card. I gat a letter today saying that my APR% is going to go up after february 1st to around 24.99%. I am very peeved that they are going to do this.
I was wondering if anyone knew of a low APR% card or one that has 0% for the first year....
I was thinking of a capitol one card....Let me know what you ladies think would be a good card for me. Thanks

Re: Looking for
We get offers in the mail all the time .. I'll pay attention and let you know who we're getting from and pass along the info.
I did a web search for zero percent and low interest rates and I got a bunch of hits.
You could also try calling your credit card company and ask them to lower your rate or you will have to take your business elsewhere. If you are long time customer in good standing they will sometimes lower the rate.

Christine, I will pass on a chase card. I already had one and I hated dealing with them.
GroovyPeg thanks so much for that site.
Does anyone have a bankone card?

Capital one S*cks for customer service.... they are very rude and unaccomodating I could not wait to close my account w/ them sometimes discover card offers 0%
I personally would not get a capital one.

Re: Looking for
Chase Subaru Mastercard has 0% for 9 months. I used it last year and paid off all my Credit Card debt with it.
Here's the link: https://www.chasecreditcard.com/Templates/SUBARU/Splash1.asp?target=SUBARU&creative=10880
Edited to say: Even if you hate Chase but think you can pay the debt off in the alloted time, I'd still do it. It saved me a lot of $$$$.

Re: Looking for
Im not going to be able to pay off my debt in that time....I am sruggling to pay for the wedding coming up in august. After the wedding I will pay off my credit card.
I dont use the credit card at all....I dont even carry it with me. If I do use it, it is a rare occasion.
I already have a chase card, also...I had transferred my balance from it to my msn.com card that I have now.
So no one else has a bank one card?
I also see that EBAY and PAYPAL have credit cards. Anyone have them? or have experience with them? I believe the provideris providian...Im not sure if I heard good or bad things about them.

Re: Looking for
23% is outrageously high. You may want to run a credit report on yourself and make sure that your credit is okay because that looks like default rate.

Re: Looking for
Just thought I'd mention it because I keep hearing about all this identity theft and other types of fraud that causes people to go into default without them even knowing it.
My BIL was a victim of identity theft and almost had to change his SSN because of it.

Re: Looking for
My Credit Card Co. tried to raise my interest Rate a month or so ago. It really pi**** me off so I called them to cancel it and they gave me a great rate. It might be worth a try.

Re: Looking for
Thats what I did....but not the card that was raising my rate. I called my other credit card company up and they gave me an awesome rate. I transferred the balance from the card that was giving me problems...and I now have a low interest rate of 4.33% until I pay it off...and 0% until may 04...on purchases
