Re: Looking for a good Digital Camera

I am not into the bulky cameras. the canon S400 is a GREAT camera and fits right in your pocket! If you can wait some time, the S500 is coming out, more MP

Re: Looking for a good Digital Camera

depends on how much you want to spend...
how often will you be taking pictures

don't buy anything less then 3 Mega Pixels for avg use. If you think you are gonna use it alot and love taking quality pictures...get a 5 Mega Pixel camera... be aware that taken pictures at 5 MP takse up alot of memory. So remember to factor in memory in which ever camera you buy. I own a Sony (old model) and love it. Cannon is another good name brand..

hope this helps

Re: Looking for a good Digital Camera

I'm a film only, kinda gal, but if were going topurchase a digi, it would be the Nikon D100, but it's a professional camera, not like, a canon sureshot..etc

ETA: buterflygrl - I'm big inot photography. you can Fm me if you have any questions. But I'm a film girl, I'm working on building a home darkroom right now! So if you have any questions about that, I can help!

Re: Looking for a good Digital Camera

Dh is a hobby photographer and he uses the Canon EOS 1D. It's a professional digicam.

If you're looking to get into it as a hobby, as opposed to just taking point and shoot snapshots of friends, I've also heard great reviews on the Canon EOS Rebel
