Hi All....I am from Staten Island and I am currently looking for a hall for my 2008 wedding. Being that I have not been to any functions on the Island I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on some places that were worth while to look at. So far I have looked at the Inn at New Hyde Park and the Jerricho Terrace. Next on my list on Chateau Briand, Fox Hollow and Leonards...any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Check out the Floral Terrace... it's located on Jericho Tpke not far from JT and the Inn at NHP, the two you've looked at so far... Good luck!!!!

Yes, what things are you looking for and what things don't you want?

Re: Looking for a Hall in Long Island
Hi Fellow Staten Islander
I got married at Giorgio's, it is a hike (bout 3 hours) from SI, but it was closer to my side of the family when we started planning. Most of our SI guests stayed at the hotel (including us) and it was a lot of fun.
Good luck! Let me know if you need any local help!

The room is very important me as is the decor of the place. One wedding at a time would be great but I do understand that not all places have this option. The food is also up there on the list of importance. I probably have about 200 on my list.

Woodbury Country Club! I booked there after having shopped around a bit. The grounds are beautiful, as are the rooms. Plus the food is fabulous! they were also one of the least expensive halls I visited. It's definitely worth a look. It's down the road from Fox Hollow/Crest Hollow.

Re: Looking for a Hall in Long Island
Most important things to consider: 1. Your budget... how much are you willing to spend. if you're on a low budget (like me ) that eliminates a lot of places! 2. Scenery: do you want water? very decorative inside? places for pics? etc. etc.
there are lots of great places on the island... although i would think you would want to stay in Nassau as you're coming from SI... Suffolk might be more of a hike.

Defnitley check out Floral Terrace. Its on Jerricho turnpike, one wedding at a time and the food is awesome. Good Luck in your search I'm sure you will find something you love.
