Looking for a hotel around MacArthur Air to have reception

Any suggestions for any places around or near MacArthur Airport would be helpful. We are having a lot of out of town guests so I would like to do it at a hotel but if this is not possible at least somewhere close to a hotel. Price is a concern - don't want to spend a fortune. I have an appointment to see the Wyndam Wind Watch hotel in Hauppauge - Has anyone else seen the Wyndam or know anyone that has had a reception there? Thanks!

The Wyndam is beautiful. I am having my reception at the Hamlet Golf Club which is one the same property, but not owned by the Wyndam. All of my out-of-town guests, Scott and I, plus my parents are staying at the Wyndam that night. They have been great to work with. I know that they have free shuttle service to and from MacArthur and the train station. I think another girl on this board mentioned the Best Western or Holiday Inn too. You can always do a search to find out.

Thanks for the information. Where the prices for the Hamlet Golf Club different than the prices at the hotel itself? Where you able to get a group discounted rate for the Wyndam?

I did not inquire about having a reception at the Wyndam so I am not sure. I got a discount rate for the hotel rooms if you can guarentee 10 rooms. You can call both and ask.

Try the Holiday Inn near the airport. I know that they have the facilities for a reception (and wedding). The Best Western in Farmingville is currently under renovation to become a Raddison so I don't know what they might have.

We are having our reception at the Wyndham. The grounds are beautiful. At the tasting the food was amazing. We really have had a good experience working with them.

I'm getting married at Vineyard Caterers in Aquebogue and my guests are staying at an airport minutes from MacArthur. Definitely check it out. It's beautiful and I've heard nothing but raving reviews about it.
