Looking for a space/no food for RD............

I think I want to go with the catering for my RD. A couple of you gave me some ideas for caterers that I think I like and am following up on.
Trouble is my BP is so big and I think I'll have anywhere between 40-60 ppl at the RD, and I think that's a lot to fit in a house.

Do anyone know where I could just get the space for a couple of hours so I can have the food brought in?

Where are you located? What about a knights of columbus type of hall? Or even a fire department? The Fire Departments where I live have rooms that they rent out. I went to a Sweet Sixteen at the Wantagh Firehouse and it was wonderful!

Liz, my soror lives on 28th Street in Manhattan and that is where they are hosting her baby shower in the community room. If you want me to ask her about that I will.

My Bm also has attended a few events in the Community room at Coop City if you are interested in either of those let me know.

There is a cute hall located in Hicksville. It is called the Masonic Temple of Hicksville and I had my graduation party there. It had 100 guest and we were very comforbale. It's a little larger than a 'room'. I don't know what you want to spend but it's $650 to ren for unlimited hours and you buy the drinks and food. Ithink some Knights of Columbus yiu have to buy the drinks from them. Any more info just let me know

I'm sorry I'm not sure of the price. I would say around $600-$700. The party I went to in Wantagh, we didn't even realize we were in a Fire House. I was surprised as to how nice it really looked! Let us know what you come up with! Now i'm curious!
