looking for a upscale dj company...Starlight Express???
Kinda of new to this... Just booked my wedding at tribeca Rooftop... Looking for a upscale dj company and saw starlight express @ the Grand Hyatt in Manhattan... I really loved them!!!!!! Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

I booked them!!! love them, have seen them before and they do an amazing job. They are also so nice and friendly. Definitely check them out.

Haven't written my review yet since the wedding was less than a month ago but we used Starlight and they were fabulous! We got the package that included the photographer and I think it was one of the best wedding splurges we had. I still have to wait a few weeks before I get my pro proofs back, but when I came back from the honeymoon I already had two CDs with over 250 pics each from them in the mail.
As for the wedding, our DJ did everything as we requested it - we used them for the ceremony and the reception - he kept things quiet and elegant at the appropriate times but also got people up and having fun without being loud or obnoxious. Our DJ was Kao and from what we could tell he only made one big mistake the whole night and it was something no one noticed until we watched a video a few days later.

As an alternative...I loved my DJ from 'A starry night.' Truly classy, non-cheesy and she did a wonderful job in mixing seamlessly a great mix for our wedding.
My DJ was Carol Moore. She was excellent and listened.
I haven't seen them mentioned here: but she had the sound and slightly international flavor I was looking for.
