Looking for Big hall approx 700 guests... PLEASE HELP

We are looking for a big hall that can host around 650-700 people..

We already checked the Hilton Huntington, Marriot Uniondale and Hyatt Windwatch but we didnt love any of them...

Any suggestions?

WHOOA...700 people??? u may have to look in manhattan or HUGE estates on long island..i am sure there aren't too many catering halls on l.i. that can accomodate that many people.. maybe try russo's on the bay??? the newer venue at east wind?? maybe jericho terrace???

I think Terrace On The Park in Flushing Meadows holds a lot.

I know the marriott marquee in manhattan holds that many people. I've been to a wedding with close to that many ppl, it was at a temple don't know what your religion is...

If you put the 2 rooms together at East Wind, I think it holds 600. You should call.

Grand Prospect Hall in Brooklyn

Most large hotels can accomodate these number of guests. I also second Grand Prospect Hall, it's lovely.

I would not do Terrace on the Park...I was looking there to have around 450 people and the layout was horrible. BUT the place i beautiful, if the layout was better we would have gone with it. The layout is in such a way that some guests will be sitting in various parts of the room that do not have ANY view of the bride and groom. We felt those guests would feel left out and unhappy and we could not have that.

I ultimately booked at crest hollow and expecting 350 guests and The Sterling for 550 guests. (we are having events on 2 diff days) At Crest Hollow we are in the Grand Ballroom which is the largest room, I would check it out.

Try Gotham Hall in Mahattan. Been to a few events there and they do an amazing job.

I forgot to mention, it cant be too far from Roslyn... i.e East Wind is a bit too far...
Lets say in a 20 mile radius?

are you inviting 650-700 or expecting that many?

bc with a guest list of that many i think they say about 20% don't come, so you would prob only realistically be looking for something to hold between 520-560..

There is a place in Manhatten on Bowery named The Capitale - this place can definitely accomodate 700 or more.. I'm lucky enough to say that I went to a wedding and it was by far the most extravagent affair I have ever attended. Good luck!
