Does anyone know of any florist that we can look into? We have been looking but some florists are shut the week of our wedding. We are getting married Jan 2, 2009. Can anyone help us?

have you tried Malkmes in Port Jeff Station? They are one of the florists Giorgios recommends (I am getting married there too) and I am pretty sure they aren't closed that whole week? not 100% but i don't think they are...

Yes we tried Malkmes in Port Jeff Station. We wanted to check a few other places but we can't seem to find a florist that is opened that week of our wedding. Flowers by burtons is closed that week of our wedding. Suger magnolas is closed the week of our wedding.

They were nice but the lady wouldn't really listen to what we wanted she kept trying to get us to go with something else and we kept saying np this is what we want. I thought she was very nice and her work was nice but I need someone that is going to listen to what I want it is my wedding.

Re: Looking for florists... Please help
We just booked Roots Flowers & Treasures in PJ she does a ton of Giorgios weddings and she gave us a GREAT price - I used to work in a florist so I was really nervous about finding someone who would do it right. (The shop I worked in closed down) Cori was spot on though- we actually just booked her yesterday. FM me if you want more info.
I haven't seen you on here in a while how have you been?

I booked with Designs by Rose. She is located in Howard Beach. I loved rose and her mother Doris. Their prices are soooo reasonable!! We are on a super tight budget and the qoute I recieved was a few hundred cheaper than all the other florists even Burton's. They also have really good reviews on LIW. Good luck with your planning!!
Hi JKFris09. I am doing great. How have you been? I have been on, on and off. Thanks for the help. I really want to book a florist before March 2008. We have gotten everything else booked this is the last thing. I really am trying to find a great florist that is willing to work with us and listen to our ideas besides give us some ideas.

That's exactly what I wanted, Cori opened her shop a year ago, it's family owned, small and they're great she was so open to our opinions and gave us input and before we left she told us she loved my ideas and really wanted to do it. If you want I can email you the pic of our CP sample to see some of her work.
I noticed that too that alot of florists weren't open in January! What's up with that?!?! lol
