Looking for general help

I didn't even know that this board existed! I thought that the link 'home' was to the start of LIW! LOL

I am glad it is here though. I am clueless about buying a home and mortgages. I know the mortgage will have to go through me since FH is an immigrant and has no credit at all. I know about Fannie Mae too. But does anyone have a good book they can recommend to help me learn the process or a website?

Also, if I have to get PMI, I would rather not have to pay a fee. What banks are there that are good in terms of mortgages and also low/no fees for PMI?

Does your fh work off the books?

just b/c he's not a us citizen doesn't mean that he cannot cbe on the mortgage..

Have you found a house yet?

I have an excellent mortgage broker that can help you if you want.. fm me if you want his number.. He's handled several mortgages like that..

If your husband purchases the home with you, he can be on the mortgage.

I am a loan officer and my company does not charge PMI. FM me if you want more info.
