Looking for opinions! - Long Island Weddings

Ours wasnt a day wedding, but there were no windows, since FT is an old theatre, so you wouldnt have known if it was night or day!
In other parts of the country, day time weddings are not unusual at all.
I think people will enjoy a wedding no matter what time. I would definitely make sure there are after party plans, though. That would make a huge difference.

agreed, especially with an open bar! My wedding is during the day but I have no worries about it being a party atmosphere, I think day or night guests go to enjoy themselves

I wanted a day wedding because of the venue we were having it at and the only reason I changed it to a night wedding was because our church wouldnt marry us on a Saturday before noon.

It all depends on your guests and if you are having fun and enjoying your day than that's all that really matters in my book

IMO, its all related to the drinking. If your guests are sober, they will be aware that it is the afternoon and may not cut loose. If there is an open bar, give it a few minutes, have your DJ play some great tunes, and people will be dancing no matter what time it is.

I remember going to a Sunday afternoon Sweet 16 when I was a teen. I thought it was going to be so weird..but as soon as our 'jam' came on, we went crazy on the dance floor. The party ended and it was so weird remembering that it was just 6:00pm. We were completely lost in the moment!
