Anyone know of a great reception place/restaurant on Long Island - on golf course or the water for 30/40 guests?

I just thought of another idea, what about having your wedding on a yacht? I'm sure they can cater to a party your size and you'd definitely have your water views!

Depends on teh budget because after fuel and the fee to bring in your own caterer etc..it can add up to the same as having a 100 person wedding.

Woodlands is in Woodbury. off of Piquets lane and Jericho.

Try Sansouci ... it is IDEAL for smaller weddings. I believe its near Glen Cove (on the North Shore of LI)

I had my engagement party at the Bellport country Club. Everyone who went raved about the food & setting. Its on a golf course on the great south bay.

Raphael Vineyards has no minimum -- but it's on a vineyard, not a golf course...
George Washington Manor has a smaller room too, in ROslyn.

Giorgios is on a golf course and in my very biased opinion it is beautiful and I think Giorgio would be able to work with you for 30-40 guests in the cocktail room. You should call and ask him-he's a doll.
