Make a meat lasagna or stuffed shells...shells are easy. saute the ground meat with chopped onions and garlic, then pour some spaghetti sauce in your pan let simmer for a few minutes while your pasta shells are boiling. Shred your mozzarella cheese, heat your oven.

Arrange the shells in a pan with sauce on the bottom, then spoon the meat w/sauce into shells, add a spoon of ricotta cheese to all then spoon extra tomatoe sauce over all the shells and sprinkle the mozzarella over all. Heat in the oven until cheese is melted.

what about sauteeing ground beef with onions & mushrooms .. maybe some shallots .. season as preferred .. and then take sheets of puff pastry .. cut into managable size squares .. place a spoonful of the beef mixture in the center, and cover with another square of puff pastry .. seal the edges .. bake til puff pastry is done.

You could probably even sprinkle some cheese over the beef before covering.

Or, instead of using the puff pastry sheets, you could simply use the puff pastry shells .. bake the shells as directed .. fill with the beef mixture .. put the 'lids' back on the shells .. and serve.

I might have to experiment with these!


(I make a chicken ala king .. and stuff that into puff pastry shells .. so this is sort of along the same lines .. and the pastry sheets .. that would be along the lines of beef wellington).
