looking for... the girl with the pain in her right side...

I have been having episodes of this radiating pain on the right side of my abdomen from my belly-button to my hip... and up higher.. sometimes in my back... I know there was another bride on here who had something similar.. but hers seemed more painful... mine is, on a scale of 1-10, its probably a 7... anyone have any idea what it could be? I am getting nervous... its comes on randomly once in a while and then goes away... I know I should see a doctor.. but I am nervous!!!! Any self-medicators out there that can help?

You should call your doctor and see what he wants you to do - that could be a lot of things

please go to the doctor ASAP...It can be appendicitis or maybe a cyst burst, my friend went to the ER bc of a cyst burst yesterday

yah it was denise (above) but I had the same thing last january and it was my gallbladder

go to the MD and they can evaluate and either send you for more tests or to the hospital/er!!!

THATS right i remember when they did a sonogram on me they were also checking for a gallbladder and even kidney stones.

Just don't take any chances please, my friend had problems 3 weeks ago, went to the doc and they told her it might be kidney problems and an ulcer shes been on meds for an ulcer for 3 weeks and yesterday she went to the ER so yeah it wasnt any of that, the bad part is she has been suffering bc of this all the time and made things worse now bc its been a while Make sure they do thorough tests and if they dont ask for it yourself

I have pain on my sides when I eat then walk quickly, also I get it when I have gas. Maybe its something you ate. If it doesnt go away, pl go to a doc, take some xrays or the ER.

I've had a ruptured appendix and a ruptured ovarian cyst. I waited too long to go to the ER because my school health services dr told me it was nothing and I have a very high tolerance to pain.

Don't wait! Go get checked out -- better safe than sorry.

Thanks.. i am going to see if it goes away today.. I have to chaperone the dance at my school today.. so if i still have it tomorrow, i will get myself to the dr... i think its gallblatter.. but i dont want to self medicate... thanks girls!!!

have you had gas pains before, do you recognize it as maybe being that? also check if you have a fever. With appendix one good way to test yourself is to push down on your side and if when you let go it hurts even more then its appendeix, this is what the doc did last time

My school's health services told me to jump up and down and if I'm able to do that it's not appendicitis because otherwise it would hurt too much. Whaddya know, I did have appendicitis and it eventually ruptured...

Ok well its good then that you don't have a fever...but definitely monitor it and please please please take good care of it...Not bc im a know it all and want to tell you what to do...but i actually have 2 friends currently in the hospital and both ended up at the same hospital weird but anyways...one the doc sent her home and she ended up with a collapsed lung and had surgerythis week and another bc a doctor sent her home and didnt thoroughly checked her and gave her meds for the wrong thing and yesterday ended up in the er bc she had a cyst burst
