DH is meeting me in the city this evening when I get out of work. I work at Rock Plaza and get out at 5. We have dinner with friends at 7 on the east side in the 30's somewhere. Any dieas what we can do for like an hour and a half and not spend a ton of money? I feel like thats not enough time for a museum. But I really want to go to MOMA. But any other ideas of something to do thats cheap? LOL. Thank you ladies!

Re: looking for very cheap ideas...
you might just be able to do MOMA. Set a time to go for about an hour, you might not see everything but you'll still see a decent amount.

you can go to that 'top of the rock' thing if its nice out. Or go to a rooftop bar. Also the Whitney Biennial is going on now.

Right next to MOMA is the Museum of Arts and Design, and the Museum Folk Art Museum...both are much cheaper than MOMA

Also, you can go into the MOMA gift shop without buying a ticket, so you can browse around for a while
