Looking to buy a digital SLR camera

Anyone have one? What brand is the best?

Re: Looking to buy a SLR camera

Do you want digital? If so, Sony and Canon.

I work for a competitor, those are the best in the market.

Re: Looking to buy a digital SLR camera

Depending on how much you want to spend, there is a Canon digital Rebel that is under 1k. Other than that, there are Canons with more features in the 2k range.

My sister works in the digital camera section of BestBuy in Levittown...FM me if you are looking to go there and I can tell you who to ask for :) She's really good at comparing all of the cameras...hoping she'll get me one as a wedding gift wink, wink!

Ditto my FH has one and it is so great. It holds tons of pics. Also Sony is good. I have one of those.

Re: Looking to buy a digital SLR camera

My FI is totally into cameras and stuff.

He recommends CANON Digital Rebel xti if you are a beginner.

If you are more experienced and have the $ go with the CANON EOS-1DS Mark II Digital.

Hope this help! He says it's the best camera out there!

If you want a good price go to B&H in manhattan. They have the best prices. Their prices beat Best Buy and service is impeccable!

Re: Looking to buy a digital SLR camera

I have an Olympus E-20N that's around 5 years old and love it...Fh worked for Olympus way back when and said they have great lenses...i have been very happy with it! All my vacation pics in my albums were taken with it. Nikon also makes great cameras!
