Looking young...

Looking young...

Does anyone else look really young? I'm 28 and constantly being mistaken for being much younger - this summer I was asked for ID when I went to buy a lotto ticket....and just the other day when I went with my mom to shop for her dress for the wedding, the woman behind the counter was shocked when I said that I was the bride, and another woman in the store asked if it was for my sweet sixteen!?!?! I know I'll appreciate it when I get older, but right now its driving me crazy.

Anyone else get this?!

ugh me too. i think i must look about 18. when we went to a showcase one of the vendors even said 'aren't you a bit young to get married?' I'm 24 and FH is 26 (he looks younger too I guess) - ugh - I have to say I thought that was a little rude of him.

Wow! Glad I'm not the only one - I work at a college, and I'm always mistaken for a student...but middle school is bad!

Re: Looking young...

this weekend I was getting a pedicure and there was a woman talking very loud and making sure everyone noticed her. She was talking about her daughter, and pointed to me and said that she was slightly older than me. So someone asked her how old her daughter was...and she said 18. I turned to her and thanked her for making my 10 yrs younger. The woman next to me said that she was glad I was older...since her saw my wedding ring.

I'm 37, it still happens and I find it annoying. I find it more annoying when people tell me I should be happy about it.

No one thinks I am in college but I get 'Oh I thought you were in your 20's' a lot (I am 34). I think it's b/c I am chubbsy wubbsy.

Someone recently said of my 25 year old sister 'Is that your older sister?' I that person.

Not anymore but I used to and it was fine with me. I get ID'd at the Yankee game all the times, but so does everyone.

I'm 27 and everyone thinks I'm 18! It doesn't help that I'm small (5'1' and about 105) Sometimes I love it, but other times, I hate it.

a couple of months ago it was this girl in my offices 25th b-day, we were called into the conferance room for cake. i was teasing her telling her that she was 'OLD' now (she is a real party girl type) when the CFO turned around and said to me 'it is ok, you will se when you turn 25 it is not that bad' I told him, 'no way, i would rather die then be that 'OLD''
