RSVP deadline was Monday. At the present moment it looks like we are going to have about 164 (including vendors). Had to guarantee 175. We invited 221. I was suprised at all of the no's we had. And for once all m single friends want to come alone.

Is there people that you would like to invite but didn't because you thought you would have too many people? Perhaps some friends from work or friends of family?

Not sure if you are joking or not, but I'm sure you could find some folks here that are having their wedding at the same catering hall that would happily pay the plate charge to experience their wedding spot as a guest and get ideas -- I would have loved to have done that!!!

I would give it a few more days. I think a lot of brides said they got a whole bunch of responses a week or so after the RSVP. I think people get them, forget about them, and then mail them out on the RSVP date

If you're still under - can you negotiate with your hall?? Maybe add an extra to your cocktail hour so you're not stuck paying for extra meals??

Our deadline was Friday. We are still missing 35-responses (from my FH's side) We're giving them another week, but in the meantime the 'B list' went out yesterday morning. It's sooo frustrating!

My rsvp date was Oct. 2 and I thought I was going to be short.....I am still getting responses and now I'm hoping I don't go over.

I wouldn't worry too much.

Jen, I think my FH's family has just chosen to ignore the rsvp date. I'm really not surprized at all... It's just highly annoying. I've got a lot of other issues going on w/ dad & my grandfather and seriously need this like a hole in the head!

Jenhos,
We were sure we'd be short too..........but we made it plus 6. I was getting RSVPs up until last week(our wedding is in 4 days!)people are so rude, if you've still got cards that didn't come back don't count them as no's yet, have someone call them.
Good Luck & remember to ask the Cottage to throw stuff in if you don't make it!
