Re: Loose Diamonds to Buy???
Thanks ladies.. We want to try to stay on the island though.. I cant make a 'move' right now but we are looking into getting a bigger center stone for my e-ring :)...
We will have Elsa do it but we wanted to try to find the diamond loose ourselfs.... I guess sit down with someone and really see all the different types. Elsa has that too but I thought it would not hurt to 'shop' around. lol...

Re: Loose Diamonds to Buy???
the woman who did my e-ring was awesome but she is in paramus NJ - great to work with - great prices.....of course i didn't know it at the time but my FH went to her several times to look at stones, i have a pear stone so it wasn't that easy for him to find what i liked since pears are cut in all differnt ratios which alters the stone shape (so b/c he was looking for a specific shape and carat weight it really narrowed down the # of stones available for him to chose from) - so she got more than one batch in for him to see....he also shopped around in the city - but same thing with selection everywhere he went....its a lot easier to shop for the more popular cuts....but he did find the best diamond with her and then they picked out a setting which she made and set it for him....my ring did well on appraisal - we took it to Macys...if you are interested in traveling that far FM me

good old gold in massapequa. we got my ering there, but we saw quite a few loose diamonds, and they'll also show it to you under the a 60x microscope on a big screen tv. they also show some of their inventory on their website - that's how i found my diamond.
