loosing weight before the wedding

loosing weight before the wedding

about two weeks ago i seriously had a nervous breakdown about loosing weight. i don't really need to loose weight, i just know that over the years i look different. the problem is that FH is the cook & he doesn't cook in anyway that would help someone loose weight. he fries everything & cooks with lots of butter. & lets be honest it tastes great.

so on friday FH met me at work because we had to take care of some stuff in the city & he told me that he bought running shoes to start getting into better shape before the wedding. he said that he knows that all my friends who got married all went on strict diets before the wedding & he always thought it was unfair that the guys did nothing. so he has gone running every day since then & i have been walking around the golf course with my mom. (i can't run because i have a bad knee)

so hopefully the additional exercise will pay off & eating a fattening dinner will be okay as long as i eat healthy during the day.

the walking will definitely help! the activity definitely allows you to have more cals during the day.. (why i love running LOL).. i think you should be okay w/ the one unhealthy meal, but, is there a way you can ask FH to cook your food w/o the butter? maybe if you use different seasoning in place of the butter you can get the flavor you want... good luck!

FH and I are working out together and are doing Weight Watchers together.... It makes it so much easier because now when we cook we make healthy meals instead of going to get fast food or something.

maybe fh can cook using smart balance instead of regular butter....stills tastes good but is a little healthier.

def doing the walking will help.

good luck!!!

It's all about portion control. As long as you're not eating ridiculous amounts of food, and you're offsetting it by exercise, you should be fine. Just remember, calories in vs. calories out.

Walking is great too.. Just drink tons of water and what works good too is not eating after a certian time. We dont eat after 7pm, you will see results quick too. I starting taking a shot of Apple Cidar Vinagar 3 times a day and it really works as a weight loss aid!

Wow fh cooks?!
I couldn't imagine what types of food I would be eating if my fh cooked ! I would be as big as a house. I have to cook differently for myself and my fh sometimes. Maybe he can go light on the butter and alternative to frying. Eating like that isn't good for your or your fh's health.

FH will never cook with anything else other then butter. when he makes roasted chicken in the oven you think alright healthy. no your wrong. he sticks chunks of butter underneath the skin of the chicken. omg its delicious.

he tells me if i want bland & flavorless food i am more then welcome to go eat with my parents. which is 100% true. my mom sticks everything into the oven & basically drys the crap out of everything.

This is totally my weight loss mantra lol

I am definitely not a dieter, nor do I really want to be. BUT, I've been trying to work on my portion control. That way I can still eat really delicious things and as long as I exercise as well it's not THAT bad.

good luck... its best to start now and not right before the wedding, otherwise your alternations will get all messed up.

Another workout suggestion is to lift weight/do abs eery day. It doesn't take more than 30 minutes and I have a routine that I do ever night before bed Sun-Thurs and it really helps with toning before the big day.

Both FH and I cook. We are making smarter choices and trying. My biggest obstacle is stress. I feel like the more stressed I am the more if doesn't come off. I wish there was a way to get around that. I work out and I know I need to jump start more cardio but it is fustrating!
