Losing weight...

I know it's important to drink lots of water but I'm not crazy about water....

I wanted to try and drink less coffee so I'm switiching to tea

Could I replace water for tea for weight loss or does it have to be water....I'm not putting milk or sugar in the tea...

Ok the thing is, tea, unless herbal, contains caffiene. To much is not good for you. Why not put fresh lemon wedges in your water---> or take pitcher and add oranges, lemon, lime and make a very fresh breverage. I do that in the summer.

You can as long as it's herbal tea (or decaf black tea). If it's tea with caffeine, it's going to dehydrate you, defeating the purpose (hence my issue with coffee!). You can also try switching to seltzer with lemon or lime (not lemon or lime seltzer--it's got all kinds of hidden sugars).

key to loose weight is to eat a HANDFUL of meals OFTEN. like 5 or 6 meals a day but just a handful.

I am not a fan of water either. Have you tried the crystal light drop in things. They are really good and i just carry a few when i open a bottle drop it in and have some lemonade or iced tea. Special K has protein water drop ins too. They are good also a little different texture though. I find myself less hungry when i drink those

WW says caffine free diet drinks are like water... caffine free tea is good, crystal light and stuff like that works for me too. I dont like water either

Green tea is good for speeding up your metabolism.

Actually WW now says that all liquids are equally good (except alcohol), but plain water is still the RECOMMENDED. We say 6 (8 ounce) glasses each day, so it could be whatever you want, b/c all the other things are made primarily of water anyhow. But I'd try to get in at least 3 glasses of regular water each day with whatever else.

ETA: this is all according to the new Momentum plan. The old plan used to say 6 glasses of just water. Momentum changed this.

Exactly what I was going to say... I heard that every 8 ounces of coffee you drink, you need to drink 16 ounces of water to hydrate you.

I also hate to drink water, but have learned that you can't drink soda, coffee, tea all the time and still loose weight.

I drink 2 cups of water as soon as I wake up, then I will have a small glass of crystal light, 2 cups of water, diet soda, 2 cups of water, cup of tea, etc. I also make sure that I get 2 cups of milk a day. I follow WW.

I switch back and forth between things that dehydrate me and still was able to loose weight.
