LOST DOG !!!!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!!

UPDATE: I LOCATED THE VET WHERE THIS WOMEN TOOK SABLE IT IS

250 HEMPSTEAD AVE, MALVERNE

THE VET CALLED THE LADY TODAY BUT YET THERE IS NO RESPONSE. I THINK THE LADY JUST LIED AND HAS HIM...I HOPE THE VET CAN GET MORE INFO FROM HER AND IF SHE DOESN'T COOPERATE HOPEFULLY I CAN GET THE # FROM THE VET AND TAKE IT TO THE POLICE.


DO YOU THINK THE POLICE WILL HELP ME LOCATE AN ADDRESS??

THE LADY CLAIMED TO LIVE IN BALDWIN BUT NEVER WANTED TO GIVE ME HER CROSS-STREET SO I COULD POST AROUND HER NEIGHBORHOOD!

yep, file a claim against her. They may actually go to her house bc a dog is considered property and a pom could be valuable. also, you can reverse look up a # and often find an add if it's a landline.

thank you!!! the worst part is that I have been really sick since Wed and was limited in conducting my search.....I am just so scared that it will soon be a week that he has been missing!

Don't lose hope, the plus is that people are more likely to pick up a 'stray' little dog than a big dog that can be more intimidating to approach and harder to accomodate in their house.

I found him!!!!!! He is finally home!!!!!!! I did a reverse address on her cell....it just gave me her full name....then I looked her up in the yellow pages which took me to peoplesmart.com where I paid $30 to get a background check on her name and it provided me with the address. She lives in Rockville Center on the 6th floor!!!!! She just wanted to keep him. So I went to the Lynbrook police with all the info and my story with the conclusion that I knew she had him.....they went to her house and got him within minutes!!!!! I am beyong happy!!!!! Thank you all so very much...all your suggestions, prayers and support really means a lot to me!!!!


I was just too busy today making calls that I didn't have time to log on.

Told you! The lynbrook pd is no joke! I grew up there!

So glad you got your dog back. I called the town of hempstead shelter for you a few times to see if your pup was brought in.

And really? That woman should be ashamed of herself. She knew that dog was yours. Terrible!

They were so very helpful!!! They even went out to get him after my complaint! They were so very happy for him! I thanked them a million times!!!!!!! I have to call the town of hempstead at 9 to let them know I found him....I called them like 4 x's a day! The crazy part was that the women had her 'brother in law' call me back yesterday morning to tell me that there is nothing they could do for me as my dog had run away from their place. Wish I could have seen the look on their faces!! I can't believe someone would want to keep a dog that is not theirs, especially knowing how much they hurt the family! I am just so glad that he is home.....he was a little weird last night but is doing much better this morning!

OMGGGGG I'm so happy and angry for you!

First - kudos for all that detective work and determination. I would've been in a blind panic and wouldn't even know what to do.

Second- I can NOT believe that that woman was going to keep him when she knew someone was heartbroken and looking for him!!!!! She needs to be kicked in the shins...the police would've had to hold me back because I would've gone ape sh it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
