Lost in the Florist Process

Ladies, I am going to meet with Virgil at Pedestals tonight, I have NO clue where to begin.....FH is going with me, so hopefully that will help, but I have a few questions.....

Is there a check list of what flowers you need??

Do you have any suggestions on where to start? Or any suggestions in general with the flower process??

What i did b/f i met with the florist is that i had pictures of what i was looking for and they made it look so much better...just try to have some type of pictures so they have a better idea of what you are looking for ....and they will help you out too and give you ideas as well..have fun!@

i ripped out pictures in magazines of flowers I liked and I brought a picture of my dress and told him what color BM dress I was thinking of (not that the dress info is necessary but i felt like he could get a better feel for the whole picture).

As far as how many pieces you need, I went in with a general idea number of tables, BMs, GMs, readers, parents, gparents. but he'll go through all of those and mention each kind of person you may need them for.

they have a list thought and ask...how may centerpieces, bridesmaids, groomsmen, parents, grandparents etc so you should be set.

i also did not know what flowers i wanted aside from my own bouquet. they have albums for you to go through and also samples out in their showroom so you can use that for inspiration if you dont have time to look at magazines or online. plus you get to see a sample as your wedding date approaches and you can make changes then. i basically changed all my flowers but kept it in the same price ranage lol
