love at first sight (my dress i mean)....but too early?

I went for my first dress hunt at a justina mccaffrey trunk show...the first dress i tried on was the dress of my dreams. I saw it in a magazine, and I was obssessed with it...when i tried it on, it was twenty times better than i imagined. But it is the first dress i've seen... do i look further, or buy this dress? My wedding is in a year and five months!(9/6/02)I cant imagine seeing a dress i could possibly like better.....what do i do?

If it's the dress of your dreams, buy it! I also found my dream dress 17 months before my wedding, and now, 3 months before, I still love it and can't wait to wear it. When something is right, you just know it, so go for it!

Grab it!! If you take the time to look around, you might not be able to get it again. This happened to a friend of mine. They discontinued the dress and one month (yes only 1 month) later, she could not get it!! I came back to my first dress also. If you saw it in magazines, loved it, and saw it on and loved it, dont waste time-scoop it up!! One less item to worry about too!

I agree with Leyann and JennRenee...I just bought my dress and I have until 7-4-02. The funny thing is that my dress will be here in about 6-8 weeks and then I have to store it until next year! I tried it on two different times (about 5 days apart) and still thought that it was made for me and only me!! Hope that helps! Nancy

Go for it, like everybody else said- it may not be there in a month. I think you also mentioned it was a trunk show, so your probably getting a deal too! If it feels right get it. Good luck!

Get it now!!! I saw the dress of my dreams in a magazine,tried it on and fell in love with it. That was in Jan 2000 and my wedding is Sept 2001. I went back a few days later tried it again and ordered it. Bridal Suite of Patchogue very nicely offered to store it for me for free until the wedding. My dress has been in since last August(I went to see and tried it on and was so happy) and they have been storing it for me. I found out last November that the style had been discontinued so if I had waited I would not have been able to get it. Do it now!!!

Like the girls said, get it now if it`s the dress of your dreams. You don`t want to go back and find out it`s been discontinued. The very first and ONLY dress I tried on was 'the one' for me. A few days later I went back with my mom to show her the dress, and like my sister-in-law who was there the first time, she agreed with me that the dress was perfect. You always know in your heart when you find something good. Don`t let it slip away!!

I got my dress at the Vera Wang Sample Sale last month an my wedding is 9/21/02-after yours! Its sitting in my parents house - every time I go home i want to try it on again,I love it! If its perfect for you - go for it. I wish my wedding was next week!
