I thought I would do a post like this since it seems that everyone is really into this stuff. Post any stories you have about a love one that has passed who in some way has let you know they are looking over your wedding!! Here is mine so far:
I was told by a pyschic that someone who has passed on from the other side put me and my FH together. That we were cosmicly fit for one another!! I love that!! I believe in all this stuff!! Our wedding date is 11.11.11 bc we always see it on the clock when we are together and it means that you are in a high spiritual place! I love angels and when we we were looking for our reception hall i was asking for a sign that one of the places we went to was the ONE. I saw the exact same angel photo in VL in the bridal suite that was lost from my move from florida back to ny. I was like OMG this is the place. Also my friend texted me something so beautiful as we were going in to book- some forward message that actually really meant something to me. My FH's name is Michael and he has a st. michael necklace that i gave him so we are all about this stuff!! I love these stories!! Oh and another thing my great grandmother had these beautiful blue eyes and I always remembered that about her. The deacon who is marrying us has these really nice blue eyes that kind of freaked me out bc i instantly thought of her!!!

Aw your story is beautiful! I definetly believe in things like this. I think that FH and I were brought together by something greater than us.
When I met FH I had been dating someone for 2 years and I was very torn between my feelings for fh and the relationship I was already in. Fh were friends for a while and one night he texted me asking if I wanted to meet up with him, I told him I was out but I was with my bf. I was in a bar on bell blvd. which was not somewhere I went often because I'm from LI. Well when I was walking out of the bar someone tapped me on the shoulder--it was fh!! Some how we ended up in the same place at the same time and I knew then that we were meant to be!

hmm mine's not about my wedding but I really think my grandfather had a hand in getting us together. Years ago I went to a psychic w my ex. we were separated at the time and I was upset and I have no idea why I even went w him.
Anyway this woman was talking to me about my grandfather. It was amazing. And anyway, she also said that my ex and I were not meant to stay together and that I would meet someone named Anthony or Tony who was into cars and that it could be a serious relationship if I let it be.
Well...I met my Anthony who is insanely into cars. He was so serious about me but I was very unsure of him in the beginning.
When we went to the cemetery, we saw a rabbit next to his grave...it's odd..my mom always says that there's a rabbit there and it's my gpa and i think she's loony. so the rabbit sorta ambles up to us...stops..looks at Anthony for a bit. then hops off. I was like oh my gpa approves of you. Let's call my Mom! lol.

i had been engaged once before and 11 days before the wedding, the whole event was called off. i was really scared to get back into the dating scene so when i met FH i really liked him but i was very wary of getting my feelings hurt.
I am Catholic and very spiritual and right after the failed engagement, out of no where, underneath my bed, a little tiny sticker (think of a toy you had when you were a kid and it came with little sticker googly eyes where the black piece in the middle moved around) with St. Pio (Padre Pio) face on it. I had a flanel blanket under my bedspread because it was winter and i was changing the sheets and for some reason and i found this sticker under neath that blanket. i don't even know what made me look down into th blanket where i did because usually i just pull the sheets off and toss them on the floor while i change the sheets.
I even went to far as to ask my mom if she put it there when she came to visit when i wasn't looking and no one fessed up to putting it there. ever since then, i keep seeing St. Pio everywhere i look and i feel like he has taken a special interest in me.
One of the first times i went to FH apt, the whole ride there, i was saying to myself please, St. Pio, give me a sign, because i think i am falling for him and i don't know if i should take this chance. Lo and behold, when i get to his apt. there is this huge picture of St. Pio in a frame in his kitchen. i knew right then and there that he must have had a hand in sending us to each other.

All of your stories are amazing. I'm getting the goosebumps reading them!!
I actually had something happen to me and FH this past friday. I posted a thread about it and everyone said they were getting goosebumps bc it's pretty unreal!!!!!
'So I'm sitting here sipping away on my new favorite cocktail and reading the posts, when our house phone starts ringing. I check the caller ID, and all it says is incoming call.
We have telemarketers all all the time, so assuming it's a bogus call, I don't bother answering it.
2 minutes later, the phone rings again. Again, the caller ID says 'incoming call'. And again, I don't answer.
Another 2 minutes go by and the phone rings AGAIN!! Fed up with this nonsense, I answer it. All I hear is a very faint breathing sound. So I say hello, and the caller hangs up.
I started to freak out and I run to tell FH what just happened. He dials the *69 option to see what number the last caller was.
Here's where it gets really freaky. The # that came up was 417-429-2011.
417= the day FH's mother passed away
429-2011: our wedding date.
I didn't believe him, so i dialed the *69 option, and it was true. Just googled the number and it's located in Springfield, Missouri. FH decided to call it back, and the operator says the number is disconnected.
So yeah. I'm sitting here with mixed emotions right now bc I am a firm believer in these kind of things!!!!
Thought I'd share my friday night scare experience with you ladies
*** ETA: SO I just received a FM from a wonderful liwbride saying she *67 the number, and she got an answering message saying
'you reached the Reade's we cant get to the phone right now...'
We're both in shock bc we both heard that 'the number you are trying to reach, has been disconnected, please try your call again later. message .....' So strange!!!!!!!! We're just going to take it as her way of trying to communicate with us i guess. We've had things like this happen before, but this really just gave me the goosebumps!!''

all of your stories are so wonderful! i definitely believe in things like this.. although i have never had an experience like this relating to my current (or any of my past) relationships. Thanks for sharing

Wow all of these are amazing!!! and I totally look for signs constantly.. kind of ironic that you posted this Sarena because this is something that you know I have wanted so bad, an Engagement Party. I have been going back and forth with the idea should we throw it for ourselves or not..and I was really missing my Grandma, who was like my third parent and we lived with for alot of my life. She would have been all about throwing the party, and helping me, we really were like the same person and my heart just hurts whenever I think that she will not be physically there on my wedding day. Anyway, after many back and forth changing the date nothing was working and I was just about to forget it...when we finally found a date that worked. We booked a date for the party, on April 19th a few weeks ago, which was her birthday. The party is booked for August 7th, which was the day of her funeral. That was THE worst day of my entire life. I KNOW this was her way of wanting to me to remember that date in a happy way from now on.

aw love all these stories!! Isn't it nice to know that our loved ones are still with us in spirit? My engagement party was my grandfathers birthday and I had no idea. I was young when he passed away not a baby but not old enough to know his birthday. So when i booked my date for my engagement party my mom even forgot and then spoke with my nanny and she told my mom that was his birthday!

Mine's not really a sign or anything but its a way that I know my grandma will be looking over our wedding. We went to our RH fully intending on getting married in August and they didn't have any dates that we were comfortable with so he said that he did have September 4th available....which is my grandma's birthday. Not only is it her birthday, its also her anniversary. I just feel so nice that I can have that as part of my wedding day and really feel like shes part of it.
