low cost but good quality venue?

Original post by xBudgetBridex

help! My FH and I on a very very tight budget, talking like 10k-12k on the whole day for 150 people. I've been told about the all inclusive places, I'm gonna check them out even though I have been advised they are very poor quality. I was wondering if anyone knows of any venues that are $60/pp or less? I am finding places listed for a good place on many sites aren't right, i.e. place on a wedding site says $50/pp got email today for $79/pp! I'm looking at March 2015 when I though this should be cheaper!?!? TIA

Swan Club and Westbury Manor both quoted me $60pp for a Wednesday or Thursday night wedding in March 2014. Friday night was $65pp and Saturday night was $70pp. I never asked for daytime quotes, but I'm sure they would be less.

http://www.roccoscatering.com/ In Far Rockaway. My sister had her reception here in 2007 and she was on a TIGHT budget.

Try Koenig's in Floral Park. We are paying $60/pp which includes the tax and gratuity.

It's a German restaurant which doesn't look very exciting when you first walk in. But, once we went upstairs and saw the room, we were pleasantly surprised!
