Low Point Breakfasts?

Low Point Breakfasts?

Anyone have any ideas for low point breakfasts that are doable at work besides yogurt?

I usually have 2 cups of cereal and 1/2 cup skim milk, that is 7 points. Yogurt doesn't really fill me up and I eat breakfast at work everyday.

TIA

hi,
that seems like a lot of points for a breakfast cereal. i usually have 3/4-1 c. of cereal (depending on serving size) and 1/2 cup skim milk for 3 pts.
as for your question - how about oatmeal? all you need for that is a packet and some hot water. also, i really like the WW 2 pt. breakfast bars when i'm in a rush.
good luck!

eta: how about 1/2 bagel with jelly or brummel & brown for 4 pts?

I have 1 cup cheerios (2points) and 1/2 cup skim milk (1 point)for 3 points.

We also have 2 point muffins from StaySlim (which is like a WW) that are very good. Their number is (516) 799-5050, and you could see if they have other stores, this one is in Massapequa Park.

Slimfast meal bars are 4 points.

A cup of fruit is 1 point.

1/2 bagel is 3 points and 1 tblspn of regular cream cheese is 1.5 points.

English muffin is 2 points, and I believe a 1/2 cup of 2% cottage cheese is 1 or 2 points.

I couldn't go anywhere without my points finder!

Thanks. 1/2 a bagel, what's that?!?!?!?

I wish I could eat only 1/2 a bagel. The reason the cereal is so much, is I usually eat 2 cups. 1 cup never seems to hold me, maybe i should try again, and then maybe have fruit a little later!

I too thought 1 cup wouldn't hold me either, but it does. I eat at about 8am, and I'm up at about 5:30am.

Fruit afterwards sounds good. They say you should eat 5 servings of fruit and vegetables during the day.

A salad with balsamic vinegar only is 0 points.

I thought I couldn't eat 1/2 a bagel either, but surprisingly, it becomes easy when you want to eat other things during the day.

Hey, one cup of cereal actually worked.

And I didn't have fruit. I wasn't even hungry until after 12. Usually I am hungry at 11:30 ish.

Thanks for the ideas

I would usually have 2 egg whites on 1 slice of wheat bread =2 points.

sometimes I would have dice up a bit of onions and put into my eggs=still 2 points only.

How about shredded wheat? The fibre will fill you up. I eat a whole wheat cereal called Weetabix and I eat 2 every day and they are very filling believe it or not.

I love bagels, so I got the Weight Watchers bagels. They are three points each.

I have never seen those, are they with the frozen food?

No in the bread section.

I eat one and a half cups of puffed wheat cereal with half a cup of 2 percent milk and half a banana cut up in it for 3 points! It's awesome because it keeps me full until lunch. I'm not a big breakfast person, so this does it and then I usually eat more points for lunch and in the afternoon when I am usually most hungry.

If you eat cereal for breakfast, then I would recommend eating a higher in fiber cereal than Cherrios. This will keep you fuller longer.

Is it possible fo you to have egg whites at work? Does your office have a cafeteria with a cook?

Unfortunately, unless I cook in the microwave, I have no way to cook anything at work, and no cafeteria with a chef.

oh well, such is life.
