Luke's 6 month visit & update on what he's up to

Luke had his 6 month pediatrician visit yesterday and he weighed 17lb, 15 oz and is 28 3/4 inches long. I'm so shocked at his length. At his 5 month visit he was 26 1/4, which was only 1/4 inch longer than the 4 month visit. The nurse must have measured him wrong last month. (Claud have you ever had the nurse get Paul wrong, there's one who's jsut bad at the measurements)

Anyway, he's growing good isn't he? 75th percentile on weight, 95th percentile on height. I'm 5'8 and DH is 6'1 so he's going to be tall. He got 2 shots and was actually pretty unhappy for the first time, usually he gets over them pretty quick but he was weepy the rest of the day so I gave him extra special TLC. He has 1 tooth and rolls all over the place really good and is sitting up but flops over after a little bit. He's very happy, quite entertaining and supervises everything I do these days. He eats cereal fruit & veggies and I do give him frozen yogurt sometimes and he tried his aunts mashed potatoes on Easter. He is also standing really good, strong soccer legs like his Daddy. We just lowered the mattress in the crib one level yesterday just in case. I can't believe how fast he's growing. He's trying really hard to talk, it's very funny to see him be so expressively babbling. This is such a great age.


So that's what's going on with my big boy!!!!

Answer to your question - I don't think they've ever measured Paul wrong, but who knows? I'd say w/such a drastic differrence in Luke's height from month to month, they probably did mess up!)

In any case - it must be so exciting to watch him develop! I can't believe he's rolling and standing already...WOW...he'll be walking by the end of the summer!

ps - I love how you put it - he 'supervises' everything you do! LOL That is so true - they are little sponges, just soaking everything in!

Liz-great to hear about Luke's development and personality It really is amazing that just 6 months ago we had these little newborns that could barely see us, now that are demanding that we play with them, listen to them and include them in everything !
One month John Anthony grew ALOT (cant remember if it was 4 inches!) and they told me that they rechecked it themselves and did it twice even before I questioned it. so looks like your little Lukie just had a growth spurt !)

So who 'found' his tooth first ? I love hearing those stories !!

Awww..congratulations to Lukie on his clean bill of health on his 6 month visit!! Don't the shots just kill you??? I am not looking forward to that.
