I read about Lumineers in a magazine the other day and wanted to know if anyone has gotten them. I had braces when I was younger but of course some of my teeth went a little crooked when I got my wisdom teeth pulled. I really don't want to get braces again and thought about trying these new Lumineers.
My FSIL is a dentist and she does these. I would love to have them but not so sure if it's a great idea...

Re: Lumineers???
How come you don't know if it's a good idea? Has she said anything bad about them?

Maybe b/c its brand new & not tested yet? Is it more reasonable than regular veneers?

Re: Lumineers???
I went to the Dentist today and I asked him about invisilign braces. I had braces when I was younger and since my wisdom teeth grew in two teeth became crooked. He recommended invisalign and said it would take less than 12 months to correct. It looks pretty cool, they make a set of aligners that are removable and you have to change them every two weeks. I hope that makes sense. THey gave me a brochure and the website is www.invisalign.com . I might do this if and when I get new dental coverage. I have no idea what it costs.

Re: Lumineers???
Invisalign is very expensive and insurance doesn't cover it. I looked into it and wanted to do it before the wedding but the price was crazy.

I had porcelain veneers put on when I was 16. 20 years later, they are still holding up.

That stinks because the stupid brochure says that most insurances cover a large portion of the cost! I had a feeling it would be expensive. Whats the price range? Do you know anyone who used Invisalign?
