Lynbrook PD Police Report/Wedding Day Review

Original post by aliasPook

Well DAWNIE had her wedding on SUnday, and everything went as planned. This is a two part story, so if you want to read the Police Report info, just scroll to the bottom...no hard feelings, I know some of you are at work, I understand...

RH Dinner: Paparazzi

Food was great, service was great, price was great.

Make-up: Jacqueline Nicole

DAWNIE, my mother, and her BM looked so beautiful, that it brought tears to my eyes. The make up was so done to look natural, and I would highly recommend her to anyone. Price was very reasonable also...

Hair: S/B Ciro, but he had a massive heart attack three weeks before the wedding. Elena the Bridal Assistant came on such short notice, and she did a beautiful job.

She did my hair and make up, DAWNIE's hair, and her BM's hair who used and extension. If anyone is considering using one, as long as the color matches, go for it. It looked beautiful, and our hair stayed all day long. I am using her for my wedding.

Transportation: Designer Limos

Ok, let's just put it this way. If it weren't for Ramon, our limo driver, who stuck his had under the hood of my car to disconnect the alarm, we would never had made it to the ceremony. This is part of the whole Police Report. You'll read about it later on. But they deserve an A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Our limo bar was stocked up with with liquor, and I believe the only people who were not feeling it by the time we arrived at the reception were three flower girls. The arrived very early and drive past the house on there way to pick up teh guys playing 'HERE COMES THE BRIDE...' on teh horn. Of course at first we freaked out because they were an hour early, but when tehy continued on towards the grooms we felt better.

Reception: FLOWERFIELD

WOW...that's all I can say...If you are getting married there, you are very, very lucky. It was beautiful, the food was delicious, the waitress was by our side every minute refilling our drinks. The place was beautiful, the bridal suite was stocked up with drinks and food and I loved the Bridal Attendant...(I didn't get his name, but he was a doll...)

DJ: Tommy Tunes

At no point during teh evening was teh dance floor empty...

I really can't comment on teh gown, other than it was beautiful. One complaint was that I couldn't get that **** detatchable train to stay on and it began to detatch at the alter. I was grinding my teeth telling DAWNIE, 'DON'T move...' and I kept trying to fix it. Couldn't get that thing off her quick enough.

MENTAL NOTE TO SELF: NO DETACHABLE TRAIN FOR MY WEDDING...

Photography/Video: Imagine

Awwwwweeeeee, these people were so nice!!! The were not pushy at all, creative and they helped me put the film in my own camera (because I couldn't figure it out for myself, and the used my camera to get the pictures that I wanted to be in. How sweet was that? NOw I can have my own copies and not have to wait forever for her proofs. I will let you know how they turn out.

Ok, some stupid b*tch in the Bridal Party walked off with my lap top, my keys, $200 worth of CLinique make up still in boxes (my mother stocked up during the last free gift sale at Century 21), $100 worth of Revlon, Ultima II, Cover Girl and max Factor make up that I bought at Rite Aid for half off, my SHOWGIRLS video and one other video, $40-something in cash, my fathers text pager taht belongs to the FSBNY, and best of all, my wedding checkbook with teh VISA check card and a balance of $16,698.00...
Ok? DON'T TRUST ANYONE IN YOUR HOUSE. EVER!!! i HAVE BEEN CRYING SINCE 8:00 LAST NIGHT, I HAD TO HAVE MY FATHER DRIVE ME TO BAY RIDGE HONDA AND HAVE MY KEYS REMADE FOR MY CAR ($90), WE CHANGED TEH LOCKS ($103)...my Laptop had all my wedding info on it. My guest lists, $200 worth of software, work stuff, pictures, and receipts...

TRUST NO ONE! This was someone that we knew, that we let in to out home. I had the police here today making out the police report and he kept shaking his head in disbelief. I am sick from this whole thing, I call in to work...I bought a half gallon of ice cream after closing my bank account and it's almost gone already. I am so sad over this...These are people that my sister has known here whole life, and I feel dirty and distgusting and po'd that they would have the nerve to do something like this...
Al I am pointing out is that no matter how well you know people, you never REALLY know them...
Sorry for the babbling, I am just freaking out still...

I am so sorry. I just read the thread and I am completely DISGUSTED. What jealous FREAK, would do that during one of the most happiest moments in life.

Was your entire wallet stolen? If so, you have to think about your identity being stolen. Make sure, you contact all the 3 major credit companies, motor vehicle and social security. I hope your press charges and arrest them.

Re: Lynbrook PD Police Report/Wedding Day Review

that's crazy.. but if you filed a police report - - and had all that stuff stolen - why wouldn't you give the cops any names?? you said that you know it wasnt your family - so that doesnt make sense.
sorry to hear that happened.. that's horrible - - don't drop it like that though! get your stuff back - it's going to be more of a hassle doing all of that wedding stuff over again, and spending more money to get more makeup, another laptop, and replacing locks.

That is sickening. I mean, I know the makeup was new, but who in their right mind steals makeup? Who is that bad off?
The truth will come out eventually, and I think you should pursue it.

I would totally pursue it!!! They can be caught and if a family member is a cop or and Airforce person they will be fine as long as you don't pinpoint them, they just happen to be witnesses at a crime!!! And have your bank investigate it they do have running tapes, but don't waste to much time they may eventually tape over them!!!

I am glad your sisters wedding was fantastic.... Congrats Dawnie!

Re: Lynbrook PD Police Report/Wedding Day Review

Well my father is the one saying that there is nothing we can do, he doesn't want everyone feeling uncomfortable if teh police start calling. There is one girl my sister and my mother have known since Dawn was 18 months old, one girl and her family we have been friends with since Dawn was 7, one girl and her family wrapped Dawn's favors and we have been friends with them for 14 years, one is my other sister, my two step brothers, one is my FH's sister, one girl came up from Texas and LISA04 and her other BM were not in my room at any point during the day, other than to go downstairs and smoke a cigarette.

HERE IS THE BEST PART, my parents just woke me up at 4.30 this morning...my alarm and my parents alarm on teh Durango have been going off constantly since Sunday. This morning, my father woke up and said let me just look to see if my spare keys are in my drawer. He looks in his desk, and the spare set of keys are gone for his truck. I can't sleep, every few hours something seems to be missing.

And teh only way we can catch the person who stole my checkbook is if they try to use my VISA check card, or my checkbook. ATM's need the pin.

And no, they only took the cash and my checkbook. I only had my AMEX, ATM, and one Visa card in mt other pocketbook. The rest of my CC's were in another bag in my room because I don't like to carry them all at one time. I had a coach bag hanging behind teh door, and I know I put it there b/c I switched all my stuff in to my evening bag. When my brothers went to get dressed, it wasn't there, and I found it laying on the side of teh bed, open with all of the comparments open, and it was where my laptop should have been. ANd I know that my laptop was there Saturday night because my FH's sister slept over and stayed in my room, and I asked her if she wanted to use the desktop or the laptop so she could lay down with it, and she chose teh desk top. So at 12.30am SUnday, it was there.

Re: Lynbrook PD Police Report/Wedding Day Review

Ok, my tiara is missing. Who teh hell would take my ***** tiara? I am calling Elena the Bridal Assistant and I hope she took it accidently, but it is not anywhere in my house, I just looked. I am going to cry and my father is screaming that teh police can't do anything. I have no desire to have my wedding, all my plans are gone with my guestlist and addresses and my tiara.

Re: Lynbrook PD Police Report/Wedding Day Review

There are no words for this situation!! I am in such disbelief that someone would invade you so horribly, especially someone that knows you and/or you family. No matter which way you look at, it is just purely disgusting that someone would have the balls to steal right under you like that. How could this person possibly think they'll get away with it. Like it has already been said, they will slip! AND when they do or when you have a very good idea who the culprit is, then I would definitely press charges, no question about it!! I am just sitting here in aww, just shaking my head, thinking to myself 'how can you trust people'. I feel so ****ed for you. My cousin stole from me years ago, even though it was just a collectible, I was still so extremely ****ed. I never imagined that my own cousin would do this and think that she'll never get caught and that I would never notice. But that was just one inexpensive item, I just can't imagine that ALL of my personal belongings would be swept out from under me in a matter of hours!! Someone has to know who did it, how can this person just walk out of your house with all of those things and no one notices? Someone had to of seen something! For your sake, I really hope you find the person and sue her ass! I wouldn't care who it is, obviously they didn't care if they stole from you! It is so worth it to persue, go for it!!

Im so happy to hear that. Alias I truly am happy you decided to pursue it.

No one has the right to violate anyone. You do what you have to.

Try not to let anyone involved on BP catch wind of what yo are doing, oyur feeling etc

Let them be caught off guard. And sweetie, beleive me someone will get caught

Re: Lynbrook PD Police Report/Wedding Day Review

I would definately pursue this to the fullest extent i possibly can.
This is total BS!!!! How dare someone you know come into your home & steal from you?

Re: Lynbrook PD Police Report/Wedding Day Review

LISA04~I know you didn't do it!!!

I am only letting my Stepsister/stepbrothers know and my FSIL. I know they didn't do it. **** everyone else. I am also having them question the neighbors. Ok, I am going to call right now b/c I had to get dressed first. I'll let you know what happens...
