Lynbrook PD Police Report/Wedding Day Review

Original post by aliasPook

Well DAWNIE had her wedding on SUnday, and everything went as planned. This is a two part story, so if you want to read the Police Report info, just scroll to the bottom...no hard feelings, I know some of you are at work, I understand...

RH Dinner: Paparazzi

Food was great, service was great, price was great.

Make-up: Jacqueline Nicole

DAWNIE, my mother, and her BM looked so beautiful, that it brought tears to my eyes. The make up was so done to look natural, and I would highly recommend her to anyone. Price was very reasonable also...

Hair: S/B Ciro, but he had a massive heart attack three weeks before the wedding. Elena the Bridal Assistant came on such short notice, and she did a beautiful job.

She did my hair and make up, DAWNIE's hair, and her BM's hair who used and extension. If anyone is considering using one, as long as the color matches, go for it. It looked beautiful, and our hair stayed all day long. I am using her for my wedding.

Transportation: Designer Limos

Ok, let's just put it this way. If it weren't for Ramon, our limo driver, who stuck his had under the hood of my car to disconnect the alarm, we would never had made it to the ceremony. This is part of the whole Police Report. You'll read about it later on. But they deserve an A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Our limo bar was stocked up with with liquor, and I believe the only people who were not feeling it by the time we arrived at the reception were three flower girls. The arrived very early and drive past the house on there way to pick up teh guys playing 'HERE COMES THE BRIDE...' on teh horn. Of course at first we freaked out because they were an hour early, but when tehy continued on towards the grooms we felt better.

Reception: FLOWERFIELD

WOW...that's all I can say...If you are getting married there, you are very, very lucky. It was beautiful, the food was delicious, the waitress was by our side every minute refilling our drinks. The place was beautiful, the bridal suite was stocked up with drinks and food and I loved the Bridal Attendant...(I didn't get his name, but he was a doll...)

DJ: Tommy Tunes

At no point during teh evening was teh dance floor empty...

I really can't comment on teh gown, other than it was beautiful. One complaint was that I couldn't get that **** detatchable train to stay on and it began to detatch at the alter. I was grinding my teeth telling DAWNIE, 'DON'T move...' and I kept trying to fix it. Couldn't get that thing off her quick enough.

MENTAL NOTE TO SELF: NO DETACHABLE TRAIN FOR MY WEDDING...

Photography/Video: Imagine

Awwwwweeeeee, these people were so nice!!! The were not pushy at all, creative and they helped me put the film in my own camera (because I couldn't figure it out for myself, and the used my camera to get the pictures that I wanted to be in. How sweet was that? NOw I can have my own copies and not have to wait forever for her proofs. I will let you know how they turn out.

Ok, some stupid b*tch in the Bridal Party walked off with my lap top, my keys, $200 worth of CLinique make up still in boxes (my mother stocked up during the last free gift sale at Century 21), $100 worth of Revlon, Ultima II, Cover Girl and max Factor make up that I bought at Rite Aid for half off, my SHOWGIRLS video and one other video, $40-something in cash, my fathers text pager taht belongs to the FSBNY, and best of all, my wedding checkbook with teh VISA check card and a balance of $16,698.00...
Ok? DON'T TRUST ANYONE IN YOUR HOUSE. EVER!!! i HAVE BEEN CRYING SINCE 8:00 LAST NIGHT, I HAD TO HAVE MY FATHER DRIVE ME TO BAY RIDGE HONDA AND HAVE MY KEYS REMADE FOR MY CAR ($90), WE CHANGED TEH LOCKS ($103)...my Laptop had all my wedding info on it. My guest lists, $200 worth of software, work stuff, pictures, and receipts...

TRUST NO ONE! This was someone that we knew, that we let in to out home. I had the police here today making out the police report and he kept shaking his head in disbelief. I am sick from this whole thing, I call in to work...I bought a half gallon of ice cream after closing my bank account and it's almost gone already. I am so sad over this...These are people that my sister has known here whole life, and I feel dirty and distgusting and po'd that they would have the nerve to do something like this...
Al I am pointing out is that no matter how well you know people, you never REALLY know them...
Sorry for the babbling, I am just freaking out still...

I am glad you are pursuing this. I understand it was a hard decision since these are people you have known most of your life but obviously one of them didn't give a $hit about anyone in your family to scar your sister's wedding day like this and to take so many valuables from all of you.

I am so sorry you are going through this and I hope that justice is served.

Laurie: don't worry about inconveniencing the girls! As your friend, if I was in that situation, I would gladly answer any questions the Police had to help them catch who was responsible, and I would also understand that I was a suspect because I was in the house too!! Eric keeps saying that your neighbors knew the house was empty so he thinks thats a possibilty too...don't forget to have them checked out! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!

OKAY - THIS IS THE MOST F'D UP THING I HAVE READ!!! RIGHT UP THERE WITH VIDEOMAKER!!!!

Just to make sure you're covering all angles, are you sure it wasn't one of the vendors or their 'assistants'? If these people in the BP have known you for so long - it's too sickening for me to believe they would do this to you!

Vendors have bags of equipment and every opportunity that the BMs had to do this...and if the BMs were getting ready and then getting right into the limo - how in holy HELL did they get all this stuff out with no one noticing????

I hope to G0D you get to the bottom of this - I'm so sorry you and your family are going through this. But I agree PURSUE, PURSUE, PURSUE! Don't worry about inconveniencing your BMs - unless they have something to hide, they'll be totally supportive of you!

Well the PO wasn't very helpful with bringing up my spirits, but it was very funny b/c my family suspects that one of the neighbors daughters who is always snooping around our yard and walks right in to our house did it. And isn't it strange that between the hours of 3.30 and 9pm, the two car panic alarms are constantly going off? She would be out of school by then? Well as I am explaining it to the PO, this little girl who is about 13 or 14 walks up my steps, sees me inside and has the nerve to walk in to my house!!!!! The PO was like Miss, is this the little girl walking up the stoop right now, I look, and sure enough before I had a chance to answer she is standing in my living room!!!!!

I said now do you understand? He goes you proved your point. I was like Katie, this isn't a good time, she's like why are the Police here. I said Kaite, this really isn't a good time. She's like I just want to know why they are here, what happened. I said Katie, I'll talk to you later, this isn't a good time, I am running late and I have to leave for work and she goes, but the police are here, just tell me what happened. Then she started playing with my dog. I am like KATIE, I WILL TALK TO YOU LATER, GO HOME! She goes, but just tell me waht happened. I am like KATIE!!!! She goes, ok...bye.

I am in such a horrible mood, my stuff was about $1300. They let me claim $200 for my Tiara, even though it was $10.00 off eBay. I need suggestions, what should I do now? The detectives are goig to call me at work later. I found pink tissue paper from my tiara box thrown behind my bed where the laptop disappeared from and I found my pocketbook less the cash and checkbook.

Did they finger print? try not to touch tooo much stuff.

Call the bank and see if someone try to withdraw $$ from your accounts, let them know what happened.

I would also call the cc co if they are missing.

I have to wait for the detectives, but we had so many people in this house, you can not imagine. It's just sick. I can't even drive my car b/c someone stole my panoc alarm and they keep setting it offf!!!

I am so sorry!! I cannot believe how f%%%ing disgusting some people are! I'm glad your pursuing it now. Do you, in the least, have an inkling about who it could have been? Was anyone alone in that room for a second?

I am so out of it. I feel worse because this ruined Dawn's day. I am going to FH's for a few days, atleast my alarm won't be going off all night if I am there!

I am sooooo sick to my stomach right now.
I can't believe what I just read.
They better find it, I do agree, someone is messing with you.
WHat is the deal w/this katie chick? How old is she? Did they search her house? W T F????
I am so sorry this has happenned to you. Def. keep on top of this. Fingerprints the whole 9 yards. Somebody had to see something. I'm crossing my fingers for you and saying a prayer RIGHT NOW !!!!!

Re: Lynbrook PD Police Report/Wedding Day Review

Fingerprints will be so hard to develop..

Bc so many people were in and out of the house and even if you find prints how can you prove who the actual thief is..

You have to wait till the cards are used or tried to be used. Can't you track an IP add user from your comptuer..

Remember anything can be replaced and be thankful no one tried to hurt you or your family..
and thank god they didn't take CASH!!!!

No one has a problem with us..most of the bridesmaids don't live on Long Island so the keys wouldn't be an issue.
This Katy chick is about 13 or 14. Maybe she has some issues!
I just wish my HUSBAND ( I love saying that!) and I were in Hawaii already!
