Lynbrook PD Police Report/Wedding Day Review

Original post by aliasPook

Well DAWNIE had her wedding on SUnday, and everything went as planned. This is a two part story, so if you want to read the Police Report info, just scroll to the bottom...no hard feelings, I know some of you are at work, I understand...

RH Dinner: Paparazzi

Food was great, service was great, price was great.

Make-up: Jacqueline Nicole

DAWNIE, my mother, and her BM looked so beautiful, that it brought tears to my eyes. The make up was so done to look natural, and I would highly recommend her to anyone. Price was very reasonable also...

Hair: S/B Ciro, but he had a massive heart attack three weeks before the wedding. Elena the Bridal Assistant came on such short notice, and she did a beautiful job.

She did my hair and make up, DAWNIE's hair, and her BM's hair who used and extension. If anyone is considering using one, as long as the color matches, go for it. It looked beautiful, and our hair stayed all day long. I am using her for my wedding.

Transportation: Designer Limos

Ok, let's just put it this way. If it weren't for Ramon, our limo driver, who stuck his had under the hood of my car to disconnect the alarm, we would never had made it to the ceremony. This is part of the whole Police Report. You'll read about it later on. But they deserve an A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Our limo bar was stocked up with with liquor, and I believe the only people who were not feeling it by the time we arrived at the reception were three flower girls. The arrived very early and drive past the house on there way to pick up teh guys playing 'HERE COMES THE BRIDE...' on teh horn. Of course at first we freaked out because they were an hour early, but when tehy continued on towards the grooms we felt better.

Reception: FLOWERFIELD

WOW...that's all I can say...If you are getting married there, you are very, very lucky. It was beautiful, the food was delicious, the waitress was by our side every minute refilling our drinks. The place was beautiful, the bridal suite was stocked up with drinks and food and I loved the Bridal Attendant...(I didn't get his name, but he was a doll...)

DJ: Tommy Tunes

At no point during teh evening was teh dance floor empty...

I really can't comment on teh gown, other than it was beautiful. One complaint was that I couldn't get that **** detatchable train to stay on and it began to detatch at the alter. I was grinding my teeth telling DAWNIE, 'DON'T move...' and I kept trying to fix it. Couldn't get that thing off her quick enough.

MENTAL NOTE TO SELF: NO DETACHABLE TRAIN FOR MY WEDDING...

Photography/Video: Imagine

Awwwwweeeeee, these people were so nice!!! The were not pushy at all, creative and they helped me put the film in my own camera (because I couldn't figure it out for myself, and the used my camera to get the pictures that I wanted to be in. How sweet was that? NOw I can have my own copies and not have to wait forever for her proofs. I will let you know how they turn out.

Ok, some stupid b*tch in the Bridal Party walked off with my lap top, my keys, $200 worth of CLinique make up still in boxes (my mother stocked up during the last free gift sale at Century 21), $100 worth of Revlon, Ultima II, Cover Girl and max Factor make up that I bought at Rite Aid for half off, my SHOWGIRLS video and one other video, $40-something in cash, my fathers text pager taht belongs to the FSBNY, and best of all, my wedding checkbook with teh VISA check card and a balance of $16,698.00...
Ok? DON'T TRUST ANYONE IN YOUR HOUSE. EVER!!! i HAVE BEEN CRYING SINCE 8:00 LAST NIGHT, I HAD TO HAVE MY FATHER DRIVE ME TO BAY RIDGE HONDA AND HAVE MY KEYS REMADE FOR MY CAR ($90), WE CHANGED TEH LOCKS ($103)...my Laptop had all my wedding info on it. My guest lists, $200 worth of software, work stuff, pictures, and receipts...

TRUST NO ONE! This was someone that we knew, that we let in to out home. I had the police here today making out the police report and he kept shaking his head in disbelief. I am sick from this whole thing, I call in to work...I bought a half gallon of ice cream after closing my bank account and it's almost gone already. I am so sad over this...These are people that my sister has known here whole life, and I feel dirty and distgusting and po'd that they would have the nerve to do something like this...
Al I am pointing out is that no matter how well you know people, you never REALLY know them...
Sorry for the babbling, I am just freaking out still...

That's teh weird thing, it has to be someone who lives close bye. SOmeone that can reach the cars with the transmitters and set it off. All of Dawnie's BM's live upstate or in Texas or in Brooklyn. The only two that don't live in Mineola, and this person is doing it from 50 feet away. Katie is about 13/14 and she has serious issues. Her mother had a nervous breakdown last year, her fatehr has MS and two broken ankles. SHe was born with a rare virus and her intestines never developed, so she is in and out of the hospital. Her own house was robbed two years ago and they tooke her and her fathers pain killers. He was caught though, and it turns out her lives two doors away. I don't even think that kid lives there anymore though, just his parenst and older brother. The police did mention this other kid to me today, but liek I said, I haven't seen him in a year or so. And unfortunately, the did take cash. But only $40-something, thank god. I had $500 for Dawn's wedding gift, but I had the card in my overnight bag I was taking to the hotel. So it was 2 sets of keys, a text pager, $300 of makeup, my tiara, two videos, my lap top and I think that's it. Oh no, my ATM/Visa check cards, a check book and...that's it until I notice something else gone.

IMO..

I don't think someone of that age is smart enuff to pull that off, but you never know and it could be 2 different people who took things..

Could it have been a vendor?

If someone took your tiara - - it's has to be a girl. The only thing I can think of is that maybe someone came in at one point of time, rigged the house so they can come back in when no one was home or they could see where everyone was in the house before going in.

So it wasn't a BM or my sister's B/C we were all in the limo, Katie just wandered in my house...

Re: Lynbrook PD Police Report/Wedding Day Review

I think you are right, it could be two people which is even MORE messed up. Only one BM had a car, everyone else car pooled. How did tehy get teh laptop out?

i know t - but if the police are involved, and they are looking into the people who are/were there.... then maybe they can look, with the appropriate warrants of course....

maybe they got it out under a coat or something - possibly a shawl???

Does anyone that wasn't invited to the wedding have a set of keys to your house? A neighbor that watches the house, or your pets while you're away maybe?

Re: Lynbrook PD Police Report/Wedding Day Review

If you have a modem or network card in your laptop, it has a unique identification number called a MAC address. If the person who stole it tries to get online, the MAC address can be traced. I don't know what type of tracking the police can do, but they must work with internet providers for something like this. I don't know how computer savy the person who took your laptop is either, but if they don't switch the NIC or modem, it can be traced as soon as they get online. I am so sorry this happened to you. If you need a spreadsheet template, I can send you the spreadsheet I use for my wedding data. I don't know if that will help at all though. I sincerely hope you catch who ever did this and get everything back!

Lisa..

The Police will question the lil girl.
Probally rule out that she can't be a suspect bc of the height of the crime. Way to much was taken and at that age I am sure you can't pull something off alone ..

So they can't get a search warrnet with out Cause..
COME ON WATCH LAW AND ORDER!

Re: Lynbrook PD Police Report/Wedding Day Review

Sadly from what you are saying about this girl, it sounds like her. 13 and 14 year old are extremely impulsive. She may have seen all the fuss that your sister was generating since it was her wedding day, and became jealous. That is why she would take the tiara. For her to just walk in your house like that shows that she has some serious issues. Keep your eyes open when she is in her house. She if you see her doing anything strange in the house. Look to see if you can see her in window or something as soon as the alarms sound.

I hope you catch the SOB!

OMG... I can't even believe this!
I feel so sorry for your family...
Definitely check the little girl... if she just walks in your house like that, she could've done it over a couple hours or days.. with everything going on that day...
I hope it all works out...
Good Luck...
you and your family are in my prayers!
