M-I-A question

M-I-A question

Hi girls. I was wondering if those of you who are using *** ever got a contract. I gave her a cash deposit in August and didn't get a reciept or anything. I emailed and was sent a contract to fill out but I have nothing signed by them so the only proof I have that I booked are emails. I was wondering if this is the way she typically does things or if you girls are having a different experience. Thanks

I have never dealt with her personally. But, just on a business aspect I would definitely get something in writing and fast. I'm not trying to scare you but it's better to be safe then sorry. Call them or take a ride out there and speak with her face to face. Make sure you leave with a signed contract and everyone in agreement.

Was it one that you had to fill out and send back though? Or was it signed by them? Bc they emailed me one to fill out and email back which I did but it has no signature of theirs or anything. I'm so confused

Im experiencing the same issues. My planner is dealing with them as it was getting pretty stressful for me. It took forever for them to cash my deposit, then I never got a reciept. I got the email contract thingy, but that wasnt until a month later after I had to call for them to cash my check.
I am so excited to use her, she does amazing work, but I think the business of things on their end needs better organization.

OMG i'm having the same issue, she told me I would get a contract after booking, they cashed my deposit back over the summer and still no contract, even though I contacted her to remind her. It makes me nervous, people are advising me to book a back up the day of. Like I need this anxiety!

Oh no.. I have a trial with her in January and I was already very upset with the way that went down. It was so hard to contact her so I emailed her assistant and asked them to call me a few times and she just kept emailing me back.. No phone call... I made the appointment via email but it just made me nervous that I didnt actually talk to someone.

Also the no contract thing is not going to fly with me. I need everything in writing. You never know what could happen. All of this almost makes me feel like I should go with someone a little more organized.. but at the same time I read her reviews and they are amazing.. so now im just

Maybe we should pose a question on the Brides Helping Brides board for past brides that have used her so they can put our minds at ease??

I experienced the same thing. It is very hard to get in contact with her and I felt like I was bothering her but it's just things that I need to know for my own piece of mind. I did get a contract and she did let me know weeks later that she did receive the deposit and in fact I was booked for the day. Just be persistent and you will get a response

Re: M-I-A question

When I was trying to contact her I spoke to her assistant on the phone once and I found out the ***** was booked I was done. The assistant emailed me a bunch of times asking if I wanted to use her. I think that dealing with Jenn the Hair Genie was much worse, I emailed her and it took her about a week to get back to me, I then spoke to her on the phone 1 time and she said she had a girl with my date booked for a trial and the girl had to reschedule but she hadn't heard from her so she said she would let me know later that night around dinner time. I didn't hear from her for a week and a half, she sent me an email saying she never heard from the girl and she would be happy to assist me. I emailed her back and said I would love to set up a trial and she never replied. I was done with her after that. I feel she was very unprofessional. I wound up booking with Sara Rock who does her work by phone and always calls back. I really hope Jenn emails me back so that I can tell her due to her lack of communication I have already booked with someone else.

i had a hard time getting my contract too i think i got mine signed by M-i-a 2 or 3 weeks before the wedding when i went for a second trial BUT i was in constant contact with her assistant and i wasn't too worried about it - i wanted my contract signed too b/c you should have one with ALL of your vendors but i wasn't really worried about her not showing up or anything like that i just wanted the contract for piece of mind....

my advice is just bring it to the trial or book at the trial if you like her so that the paperwork is done there and you dont have to email back and forth....

i have to say that M-i-a was AMAZING the day of my wedding, she was there early and did an amazing job, i LOVED my make up and she is so sweeeeeeeeeeeeet, i felt like my make up was better the day of the wedding than at any trial - i recommend her 110%

did it bother me that it took forever to get my contract signed - maybe a little, but she is so great that its not something that would stop me from booking her, she did such a great job and was such a pleasure to have around the morning of - everyone loved her

they emailed me one that was filled out with all my info with a place for me to sign and a place for them to sign.

you need to ask them to sign a copy of what you sent back to them and either mail or scan it back to you.

I experienced that a little with *** and her asst. but I'm also having a lot of trouble getting through to the Pedala Sisters and Nicole D'Angio..with both of them I am just trying to set a trial date..it's super annoying and unprofessional that they don't get back to you.

When people don't get back to you, that is such a turn off!

Well it made me feel better that this is 'normal' and that I'm not just getting the run around. I guess I have to stalk them lol. I'm going crazy thinking OMG what if no one shows up day of ..I'd go crazy. I'm going to wait until Friday to email AGAIN, after the holidays would prob be better. I don't know I don't like this.

Thanks for making me a feel a little better about it

Is this *** from ************* you are all talking about? I was trying to find her to book a trial but I had a hard time.
I hear A LOT of people are booking with her... so perhaps that's the main problem. She's just overbooked??? Still though, you guys should get signed contracts and receipts for your money sooner than 2 to 3 weeks b4 the wedding date.

Why does her name post with * ? Are you guys putting those in or does LIW do that?
I'm still trying to figure some things on here out.

Re: M-I-A question

I know it can be frustrating... but she is definitely is in VERY high demand but I know ***** and her work and have seen her come through for so many that I would not sweat it honestly.

She has gone above and beyond for me and all the people I have recommended her to...especially my family.

I know that they are in the middle of a restructuring and they have an awesome new assistant. I suggest writing an email and asking for a confirmation stating that she will be doing the service on you date ...etc...She actually did one for me early on before I got a contract

I know that they like to do everything in email so that there is record of conversation to cover both you ladies and themselves..

They are totally friendly and accommodating so just email them with your concerns and I know they will take care of it right away!! They would never want there to be such a huge misunderstanding

I tell ya ladies...I trust them with my MOM all the time,,,you really have nothing to worry about!
