Mac makeup users...any advice?

I am planning on doing my own makeup for my wedding. I apply makeup on myself every day and pretty much know how to do it. Although, for the wedding, I would like to use something different, a little more lasting and effective. I hear that mac stays on wonderfully. Thing is I dont know what to buy of what? Do any of you use any of their products? I need a good matte foundation. And a good mascara. Waterproof of course I am extremely fair skinned if that helps at all with advice you can give me. Thank you so much in advance.

The girls at the MAC counters are great. Just tell them you need makeup for uor wedding and they will tell you exactly what you need for the day!
I know plenty of girls that got their makeup from them for their wedding.

Be careful though.. Mac is soo pancaky like.. get something that will give you lasting, coverage but that won't look caked on..

as far as the mascara is concerned.. I don't hink they have waterproof, I used their mascara x which is great, but it'll make a mess if you cry...

I suggest you get either Lancome or Estee Lauder which are good....they do come in waterproof!

or better yet, try L'Oreal's voluminous,which comes in waterprof, that stuff is great or get the maybelline lash discovery.. WOW!! it's got this lil brush that separates your lashes and makes your eyes really stand out!

I think MAC is great for lipstick, but not the best for foundation or mascara.

I personallly love M.A.C. I think there concealer is great and I love ther foundation. However I agree that there mascara is not the best for the occasion. I would go with Estee Lauder's mascara. If you are interested in M.A.C. go to there make up counter for a make over. It's free. All of the cosmetic lines will give you a free makever if you ask. Just tell them you are wanting to try a look for your wedding. Some of them may have an event coming up, if you buy like a lipstick or something you get a makeover and a ton of free stuff. You may want to look into Clinique as well. There stuff is lite and the least likley to make you have any reaction (ie breakout). I work for a Federated Dpt. (macys, bloomies,) store and Clinique offers all our registered brides a free consultation and free stuff.
So if you are registered at Macys they may offer that. or whatnot check it out. When you go the counter make sure you only purchase what you need. The basics. Dont let them convince you, that you need their entire line.Happy planning!!!
