Macy's alterations

Any experience with Macy's alternations. I bought my dress from the store in Manhasset and I was wondering if anyone has had good/bad experiences with them.

Thanks!

Re: Macy's alterations

I got my dress there and my BM's dresses. No complaints from this end, everyone there has been wonderful.

Re: Macy's alterations

I am scheduled for my second fitting this week at the Manhasset store... hoping it's better than the first one... my one complaint is that regardless of how the dress looks the seamstress yells out - BEAUTIFUL! This got me very irritated as my boobs hung out over the top of the dress and later we noticed the dress was too long despite my paying extra for a hallow hem measurement... they were 'nice enough' not to charge me for the additional hem needed, but I felt I should have gotten something back for the error. I guess they are as good as they come from what I hear.

Re: Macy's alterations

I bought my dress at Macy's (Smith Haven) but it hasn't come in yet. I'm hoping it wont be too bad.

Re: Macy's alterations

I purchased my dress from the Macy's in Smithhaven Mall and cannot say enough about them. My dress just came in last week but I don't go for any fittings until August so I really can't help you out with the alterations area but I have faith in them due to the awesome experience I've had with them so far.
